Thanks mate I was thinking something like that. I’m in Australia and to get a seat from America is expensive for the shipping. And the only one I can get here is only 15mm higher.

I once had seat foam break down from getting wet. I took the cover off let it all dry out real good and then took a thin yoga mat probably about 1/4” thick or so and cut it to fit over the foam. Then i stretched the cover over it and the seat is now more firm and is raised a slight bit. You might even be able to put a thicker version of mat or whatever you can find depending on the seat cover you have. It worked really good for being super cheap and making my seat last alot longer.

Can you get just the foam and modify it to the height you need and still fit under the cover with the original foam possibly?

Contact Mario at Topline trimming Seaford Melbourne. He is a MX seat specialist, very reasonably priced and has done your job many times.

No joke you guys.....I bought a king sized memory foam mattress (full memory foam not a topper) and seeing as how my bed is a queen size I bought a brand new Turkey carving knife to cut it to size which worked great btw. Anyway I had the extra foam laying around 1' by 1' and about 6 feet long. One day I was messing around with my 03 kx250 seat fixing the shitty previous owner staple job I ended up taking the cover off and started looking at the similarities of the denser part of my memory foam and thought I'd give it a try.

I cut a piece about 8" thick and matched it to the contour of the seat while leaving the top flat and wrapped the seat cover back on over the added memory foam VERY VERY tightly.....as a result the memory foam was heavily compressed which made it nearly identical feeling in stiffness to the oem foam but still pleasant on my ass and the seat turned out GREAT! Its profile was raised to a much flatter position and looks natural on my bike. Heres a pic of my bike with over 20 hours on the memory foam and it hasn't even broken down one bit. I'll see if I can find pics from my seat build.....they're on my instagram @lightning78 I did it about a year and a half ago so you may have to scroll down but overall I'm VERY pleased as I am very particular about my seat, its profile, and stiffness since I'm 6'3. The changes really made the bike fit me better as well.

Please read my post above ..... I know it's a little long but were very similar in height and I've always struggled with my seats needing to be taller. The SDG tall seats were ok at best but I've been so pleased with the memory foam addition to my seat thus far
