Bummer, I could not get passes, then the holiday weekedn got in the way. We plan on a big turnout at Pala for the national in Sept., and will most likely have a large motorhome and big turn out of folks. We will get it coordinated. Glad to see some folks asked about the Harrys shirt Scott. See ya guys later!

Ha, ha, that's funny Mr. nice and Mr. 50. I'm just too cheep and spoiled with the good food and concessions old Blue serves up in the pits. Spoiled with parking too! If I have to walk 3 miles to get into a race, it would need to be a Harrys Cycle race of champions! I'll see you guys at Pala on my hover round go cart. Ha! Oh, and yes broke after Mr. Nice made me pay for all the beer at the reunion

Now that Anaheim and the west coast series is over, let's get back to this. BTW: How about that ride Villapoto out in at Daytona. Maybe he really is the second coming of the GOAT. You don't neccesarily have to be a past Harry's rider to get together, and think of it as a way to get back in touch with past pals, or role models for that matter. I'm thinking somewhere in the City of Orange to meet, maybe Zitos pizza on Tustin Ave. I hear they have a large room for gatherings. Also, Harry's was based out of downtown Orange! Who's up for this, should we take the time to try?

Tracey Meeks-Where are you?
Randy Fliesher
Chip Vogel
Simon Volkov
Larry Daniels
Doug O'Donnel
Mike Lieber
Sam Storer? Probably not
Chris Taylor
Bruce Bunch-Always present
Paul Denis-Not a Harry's rider, but one fast mofo!
Todd Campbell
How about you Charlie?
Oh, how about Mr. Go for It! Jeff Shaefer
Who Else? I started in 1978 so, I'm sure there are many more that came before us. Vogel, please add some names here....

Quick story: there use to be this burrito stand down the street from Harry's. We would ride to Bunch's house on Sat. morning and pick him up. Then we'd ride dpown to Harry's to hang out and talk about the night of racing at Corona each Friday. This guy-wantabee-that me and Taylor knew would show up in this old ford truck. One day he gave a ride to the burrito stand and we were all in the back of the truck. For some reason, he had been riding Bruce and called him a squirle. Vogel was always protective and all of the 85 lb Bunch had trouble not lipping off to anyone. Vogel hauls off and throws his burrito at the back window of the truck and we all followed suit! This guy was so pissed, he kicked us all out of the truck and drove off cussing as the bean burritos ozzed down his back window. Main point, don't f.. with Bunch, and certainly don't piss off Vogel. I never saw this guy again...

My brother in law is Lyle McPherson, he rode for Harry's as well and knows quite a few you. When I first met him, he hadn't ridden in over 25 years. Talked him into buying a mutual friends old '05 CRF450 and he's been riding with us since. Currently he has a '13 CRF450 and he bought a PW50 for his grandson, from the same friend who sold him the '05 CRF450. His work schedule is often a conflict with all of us getting out on the weekends, so often times he would ride on weekdays by himself at Milestone. He was really bummed about it closing. Anyhow, if you see a dude on a CRF450 at a track with #342 with a stiff backed riding style, odds are it's Lyle! Stop over and say hello!

That's cool:
I know Lyle well and saw him at A1 a few years ago. He was a good novice rider at Harry's and won the 1979 World Mini GP at Saddleback, novice class. Many Harry's Cycle riders were in that race and myself included, yet I was not a Harry's rider and took 10th on a YZ80. His friend and mentor Jack Baringer? was a great man and dedicated a great amount of time to Lyle's success, not to mention some substantial cost involved with racing. Milestone is closed now and a new track will open soon in Corona. JG 367 or something like that, and should be much better. Tell em' Tony Palmeri say's "what's up", #168 on the 10' YZ450.
