2001 RM 125 still blowing oil. New piston and ring, carb has been cleaned and gone through, new silencer packing, power valve has been cleaned, new set of Vforce 3 reeds. Runs just fine til you put it in gear. Doesn't run clean, has the pop, bog and detonation. Starting to run out of ideas, burned almost a tank of VP through it yesterday but just cant get this bitch to run like it should. Any ideas out there?

First off....
Was the cylinder checked prior to new piston and rings being installed?
Have you done a compression test? If so, what was the reading?
How old are the crank seals?
Float height set correctly in the carb?

A hack to try is the trans oil cap. See if you have suction while its running. I think Sandman is on target with the primary crank seal. Vent tube pinched as well.
