Does anyone know if the track is still in operation and a website?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It was called West Florida MX. They moved from Milton to another location...a little further East.

Robbie, I found the number that I had. 850.665.1003 www.westflmx.com

Per the website it is not looking good.

Anyone know of another track close to Navarre, FL? Or in the area?

West Fla MX became a condo development--the place was chained up the very weekend we went down there a few years ago.

County Line MX isn't too far from there.

the track closed up at the milton site, about a year after hurricane Ivan and was moved to mossy head (crestview) as west florida mx park at walton platation.

craig woolard sold the track last year to the folks that owned the baker fla track.

to my knowledge, they are still racing in mossy head although i havnt heard anything on it.

there is another track that opened up in the milton area, off of avalon blvd, somewhere north of the golf course. they havnt completed everything and people just practice out there.

i have to run out the door, i have a gig tonight in brewton ala, but i will post whatever websites i can find on them when i get back.

AHHH man Milton track brings back some memories!!!!!!.. That place had the best dirt... I actually grew up riding that track and had so much fun there.... The track in Walton Plantation is pretty sweet but last year when we went it was kindof sandy, (from the year prior) I havent been there since the new owners took it over but my friends say it is pretty much the same.. When we rode there last year Craig had just got done building a pretty wicked supercross track but wouldnt let people really ride because he didnt have a water system for it but maybe they do now !

I loved that old Milton track. I was like something you would see in a photo shoot. They had the reddest sand and clay with the greenest grass in between all of the jumps. They had this pretty decent step up that I used to get so flat on. I miss that place.

There is a new one in that area called Milltown MX and everybody I talk to says it is one of the best tracks in North Florida.

Milltown is there off Avalon but this is off the same exit as the old track.
Milltown is small compared to the new track (Green Acres MX) that opened Jan 14, 2012.
It has red clay by the way the bird flies approx 1/16 mile SE in the same location on the map.
Check it out Green Acres MX and the link on Facebook is posted above.
You can see the shots provided on their site and see the quality of the soil you are riding on plus it is on 40 acres... Bonus...

IT WILL HAVE
motocross track, vintage track, pee-wee track, go cart track .... going to have 4 AMA sanctioned races /year, plus local races, and more ....
so come one and all and welcome to the family...
Green Acres is the place to be... :D

Tell them Yetta sent you....

green acres sounds good.

how far are you from Hard Rock? That place was always a good change of pace in FL, when you got sick of the sand you could go ride that hard clay out there.

Mossy Head is currently closed. They home to open again at some point.
They (Milton track) used to get some fast guys to show up, from KW to the Bommer

Wow! Talk about some memories. I grew up in Florala, AL and used to race at the track in Milton. It was called "The Pit" back in the 70's. Continued to race there into the early 80's. Had some great races with Howie Cole, Billy Sexton, Audie Ward, Dave Stransky, and Jimmy Fitzgerald.

Sorry to hear that the track in Mossy Head is temp down. I haven't been back to the area in almost 4 years but it was nice to know a track was that close to Florala.

Hope Green Acres does well in the Andalusia area. I used to ride out of the Jackson Honda shop in Andalusia. RIP Luke Jackson.

We used to have quite a few tracks in the South Alabama/NW Florida area back in the 70's. That part of the US is God's Country.
