That's the route I will go if I dont find a good used set. Hate to tell you that nobody is paying 2500 and up for a used set just to spend more on revalve when new is $3k. Probably why there are still alot on here not sold 🤔🤔

FYI- the black forks with DLC have been replaced with the silver uppers and chrome lowers. These are cheaper and IMO has driven the cost of the used black upper forks (with DLC lowers) up some.

$3000 for new forks all set up, is a great deal.

Yea, $2,500 tops for the old black uppers. He’s right, $3,200-$3,450 depending on who you buy them from and how they set them up is what new previous black upper generation ones. I just bought some for $2,300. People can do what they want, they’re entitled to that. But $2,500 tops is what I see going. If you get more, great! But that’s the market I see after shopping for them.

With Kreft (and others selling these forks/ shocks), you will pay for valving and Springs.

Kreft pricing-
$3299 forks
$275 valving
$225 Dyno verification / fine tuning ???
$100 springs
———————-
$3899
Plus tax (if applicable and also shipping)

Read the fine print !

Nope, with a couple mentioned in this thread, that’s including the concierge service for spring and valving and set up.

Billy is the only one I know of that includes setting them up for his customers.

Factory Connection isn’t selling cone valves for $2800, valved and sprung.

I called kreft also and they would include the valving at no extra cost. If you can get 2500 + for used that's great! But 2 places told me 3k setup for new. Just thought I'd see if anyone had a used set they were looking to unload before I buy new.

I sold a set of Cone Valves and a Traxx Shock that were revalved by Factory Connection about a month and a half ago and called in to set up a setting update for the new owner and asked what they were on sale for $2800

I’m just telling you what the tech on the phone had told me. I’m not sure if there were any other fees he left out or if that included springs and valving.
I was as surprised as you because I had just sold my used set for $2700.

I did pay $2,300 for a decent used set. BUT I paid extra to have them re-sprung and revalved for me. So I’ll have a lot more than what I paid for in them. I think that’s one thing people don’t get. And honestly probably why so many people sell cone valves, because they think they’re gonna be magical. Not many out there know how to set them up. Once you find somebody that does, they’re not even comparable to anything else.

I remember the first time I rode them setup by somebody that knows they’re stuff..someone who does pro GNCC stuff. Unreal. Soaks up square edgy stuff, holds up in the corners that gives you so much predictability (I understand that term now after riding proper cone valves) and still has bottoming resistance to just flat land and keeping charging. Those forks made me want to ride the roughest stuff I’d ever ridden, hard as I could. Only time I’ve experienced that. Heck, it made me buy a KTM again. (Yes I cone valves can come on different brands but I wanted a 300, sue me)

Cone Valves simply give the tuner something to work with. It takes more money on top of that to make them work for you. That’s unfortunate for people selling and buying used because after WP slashed the prices, it kinda threw the whole value out of whack.

Once factory connection get you in the door at 2700 IF they can you will then end up paying close to another grand. Then another set up fee to send them to Billy and have them done right.
