Brand new 2019 fc450. The oil plug with the screen on the bottom of the case that goes in at an angle.. does this plug take a big of extra force to snug down? Did first oil change, and cleaned off metal shavings from the threads. Putting it back in it took a bit of force to get it tight (was not cross threaded!). Next day, little oil leaked out. Had to snug it down even more. I was kind of surprised how much it took with a t handle. Is this bolt normally a little harder to snug down? I ordered a new bolt anyway just in case for next oil change.

Has an o-ring. It was there. Taking the bolt out itself was kind of harder than I was expecting too. Idk I’m praying normal. Rode Friday and no leaks so... just scary torquing down that hard on it.

Get a new bolt, and the proper taps. Use a taper tap first ,but not to deep( you will run out of space). Then use a bottoming tap as there are not a lot of threads. Grease the taps to catch most of the chips. New crush washer and or o-ring.
