When you look at that list it reminds you how damn good RC actually was!! It’s been a few years and it’s easy to forget. Also crazy not to see windham on that list at all😭😭

He did a total of 120 outdoor races and won 103 of them if I'm not mistaken. And only had one DNF.
I watched him do it and I still don't think it's possible.

And Dungey won a heck of allot of 450 races for a guy who, according to everyone, took "3rds and 4ths" to win titles

Herlings would have twice as many, if he raced here in the states. Tomac deserves everything he's achieved though.

Wow .... RV has what 2-3 450 outdoor titles and he's not even on that list?? I swear I remember him winning quite a few 450 outdoor races but that's crazy that even MC has him beat.

I didn't even see your comment before I put up my comment about RV not being high up on the list it's crazy to think that he didn't get more wins in MC at least

Windham isn’t on the list because he raced RC. Gave his best for years but Carmichael was a full on Freak!

Explain the math there since the US Nationals are 12 rounds and the GPs are 18.

Yeah, Roczen, Tomac, Musquin...total thin fields. I've never seen a group of fans so biased as many are about Dungey.

Even RV admitted that if not for the gas mishap, Dungey would have won the title.

The two thinnest fields ever were when RC and JS went 24-0. Both of those guys were incredible racers and fast as hell. Regardless, the field they rode in then was far thinner compared to what Dunge rode in his entire career.

Really in 2004 racing a prime Chad Reed and Kevin Windham for 24 motos is thin to you? He led all but 12 laps btw.

The start of 08 had Alessi, Millsaps, Townley, Ferry among others, by the end it was thin but he blew through those guys no problem. People forgot how good 08-09 Alessi is, he put 35 points on Reed in three races in 09.

RCs first 24-0 was probably a little thin but he raced Ferry on a four stroke all year and Lusk and Tortelli where there.

Dungey got screwed by Suzuki in 2011 plain and simple, didn’t have much for RV in 13 but was still real close in points until his DNF at Red Bud.

RV only raced 26 450 nationals, and one of em he had a blown out knee. 12 wins and 20 plus podiums though.
