What’s your recovery and wrist function after your wrist injury? I had a metal plate put in to repair my wrist, completely broke the end off my radius and it also cracked with some other broken pieces in my wrist. Its been two weeks since surgery and my pinky and ring finger are still numb and tingly but gaining a lot of finger movement just not able to move the wrist much.

Compound fracture of the left wrist!

Wrist plated & then the plate broke! had the plate removed & a new one installed by a different Doctor due to the medical network I'm in. He did a great job!

I was lucky I've got 98% movement back, just need to quit being lazy & work it more to get the strength back.

it will take a month for the swelling inside your wrist from the surgery to start going down. then the tingling, numbness will fade.

Just do all your Physical Therapy as much as you can stand.

Here's hoping your as lucky as I am & get all you movement back.

Just remember that it won't change overnight, it will take time

Broken scaphoid (sp?).
No pin, 18 weeks in a cast, set like I was wide open on the gas.
2 years out of the cast to get 80% rom and all the strength back. Which is what it still is about 40 years later.

Was lucky, the bone didn't die.

Dcross,

Yes at 63 y.o. Doc said he'd only remove it if it broke again or it caused a reaction!

I guess I'm good to go, it's been 6 months with no problemsWink

I broke the tip off of my ulnar and decided not to get the surgery and regret it every day. It's been almost ten years and it still feels like its bruised. Very tender if barely tapped in the right spot. I wish my only problem was a little finger numbness. You mad the right choice getting surgery for sure

A piece of my ulna also broke off and the doctor said he wasn’t worried about it and left it. I thought he would remove it at least but when I saw the x Ray it’s still there. Hopefully it doesn’t cause the same problems.

I had surgery to reattach three ligaments that hing off those little wrist bones. Unbelievable how much therapy that simple procedure took to get me back to .maybe 90% after a full year.
That's now my good wrist as my throttle twister also held a butcher knife for 47+ years...not to mention those Dirt Sky Dirt Sky Dirt Sky views that ruined the "good wrist" this one couldnt avoid either. Arthritic seizure that I'm currently working the CBD thing on, it's been a process but I'm making progress.
Celebrate feeling good, feeling moto and fighting the fall...its a slippery slope.

Fractured scaphoid. In cast for 8 weeks, some basic band and putty rehab to improve strength. Actually has better rom than my uninjured wrist. Went ten pin bowling the other day and played 6 or so games. Really exercised the muscles in that arm, so much more than riding does. For the first 6 or so months I rode with a mobius wrist brace but I’ve started riding without it now.
