Just did a New top end wondering if I should use regular oil or synthetic oil for new piston and rings. Was told synthetic wouldn’t let the rings seat just looking for opinions on this thank you.

White jug rotella T4 15w40 will do fine for break in and normal oil changes.

Change it often.

When i do mine i usually have a good amount of assembly lube in there already and go with synthetic 10w40. Never been an issue.

Motul 300v 4T. It’s expensive but oil is one place I don’t play any games. I change every 5 hours or every 5 gallon fuel jug. Whatever comes first. K&N oil filter every other change.

Heard a lot of people go rotella and I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with it. I’m just a walking Motul fan boy.

I’m on a 2019 450R, ymmv.
