I am a Reed fan and even I don't understand why people are ripping James for riding conservative for the championship? He clearly wasn't pushing it. How can anyone not see that? Even Reed was riding just riding around half the time. It was actually pretty weird how they both kind of cruised.

The stradegy was similar to that in their 125/250F days, when James pulled over then repassed Chad at Unadilla. This time to make it more exciting James gave Chad a full race lead and still won more races and the championship. Impressive.

What got me was after poto checked out and bubba and reed were cruising around
none of the other riders caught up.Where were they?

I understand that bubba was putting around but why didn't he just check out and win? He had the lead.

These are guys who turn laptimes 2 seconds faster than the field every week. Cruising to them is something entirely different to the rest of the field.
