So I’m looking to buy the time Sert Kit to repair the stripped out hole where the gear oil drain bolt goes. On the right/clutch side of the engine case.
I looked at the manual and it says it’s an “m12”
When I go to order the Time Sert, which soze would I need to purchase for it to be the exact fit?
“M12 x 1.5”?
I just need to fix that issue regardless of whichever method I may need to use whether I go with a Time Sert, replacing the part that contains the threaded hole, or JB Weld the thing shut?? I’d consider JB Weld only if there is another drain hole on the opposite side.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

E.

Fix it correctly. Time serts are only good on small things like a stripped fork guard hole or something. Replace the case and be done with it.

I’m not sure what size those threads are but you could take the bolt to a hardware store and run it through a bolt/thread measure deal they usually have. Also I think timesert sells oil drain repair kits, this one is m12 and may work?

Take off the clutch case and Just retap the threads of the drain
