I can't speak for the cr500riders site, since I'm not currently an owner and can't get in
I'll tell you what I had done on my '85 - I bought it new, so these were the only performance mods done to mine -
White Brothers "Pro Shock Mod" for the stock shock - tune (for wgt and ability) & rebuild
ATK fork kit - (compression valve mod & spring)
Mooseracing flywheel weight - they only had one available, I don't recall how much weight it added - yours may have one already, it was a great mod -
you're more than welcome, Lenny - glad I can be of some help
good to see a steelie getting some TLC - have fun with her, and make sure you've got good gear on so she doesn't have part of you for lunch if you get off
The stock pilot jet is too lean for the SE, but I don't know how that might change out west.
Let me know if you find a source for Radiator shrouds.

I had a friend in MD that would bolt on the 250 seat, tank & schrouds to make the tank skinnier.
Im in the process of running a batch of silicone radiator hoses for the CR500's.
Bike would look sweet with a blue seat and red frame. DG cylinder is an awesome find.
Show us a picture of the "seized" bolt.
