Don't know if you guys saw this on Motonews but its definitely worth posting over here.

Well Rockwell saw this and is letting Ryan race one of their Rockwell Watches KTM.

I think this is awesome and is something you don't see teams doing all the time. So thanks a lot for Teams like Rockwell and WWR who are stepping up and helping these Privateers that need a little extra help any way they can get it.

Good luck at Vegas Ryan and put that Rockwell KTM in the main!

That is good to hear...I had never heard of Rockwell KTM. I've been living in a cave. Glad to hear they are helping out.

They are the Fire Police KTM Team, Rich at Rockwell Time set this up , he is a major sponsor of Fire Police.

Nice move by Rockwell.

What will it take to fill gates for SX? I find it troubling that the AMA has to call and try to get riders to show up. I would hope they start upping the purse money payouts at the bottom of the field so that riders can afford to race.

Plain and simple... the riders make squat from putting on this show for people... The AMA needs to take less of a cut and actually look after the guys that are doing the work.

Exactly. Theres really no incentive for most of the guys to even race Vegas. I was reading in Sleeters blog over at TWMX.com (http://mikesleeter.transworld.net/) that he made more money by getting the Gas Card then he would of if he got 10th in the main. That's just stupid

I made more in toronto getting the gas card then I would of made for getting 7th in the lites main.

Good story (the Rockwell thing), but very sad we cannot fill the gate at a top level event. Could you imagine if they opened the Masters to every golfer on the PGA tour?

If you subtract the amount, paid into the prize pool form the riders entry fees. How much is actually being paid to the rides, from the gate?

Hey Guys,
Ryan got everything finalized with the AMA and Rockwell this morning and he will be in the air tomorrow morning at 7am eastern time heading to Vegas. Ryan knows this field is going to be stacked but he is going to give it his all and make the best of this opportunity. I cant say enough about Ryan, hopefully a few of you will make a point to meet him this weekend. The kid has a heart of gold and is like a son to me. Im glad i was able to help him with securing this ride, but in all reality i didnt do shit other than post a message on a couple boards. These Rockwell people are incredible and i dont think myself or Ryan can thank them enough for this offer. Good luck this weekend buddy, stay safe.....

Another thing, The AMA did call him and they were kind enough to let him know the entry fee is $200.00. What an organization....
