2018 YZ450F Mapping

Hi, i am wanting to reduce the snatch on the low end in my 450F. Does anyone have a good map that i can start with? I am a novice rider. I know there is a throttle tamer i could buy, but i would rather see what can be done using the tuner. Thanks in advance.

I would like to try using the tuner app. I am looking for a good map to take some of the initial hit off low end.

Go to this link, scroll down a couple posts and you’ll see the map.. build the map in the app.. this will tone down the bike some and make it feel better for you. Don’t forget to change the throttle percentages.. there’s a couple videos on Yamaha site to show you how to change maps and send to the bike.

Run the slippy or mud maps. Those are alot smoother and tamer than stock or the TP maps. If you have to use a throttle tamer, I'd say you're probably not ready for a 450
