2019 250 tpi fouls plugs

I have a 250 tpi that fouls plugs bad. Have had it to the ktm shop .they had for 3 weeks and corrected a bunch of problems. It fouled plugs really bad before taking it in and it definitely runs much better after them having it.when i do the altitude adjustment in the manual it fouls out by the second or third start. So i will try not doing that see how it works. After plug fouled i changed with new went for ride.here is the pics of the plugs, the lighter of the 2 was new one darker fouled that morning on startup.That plug had been ran less that 5 hours. Anyone else having issues? Any advice? Mechanic told me at end it was a
mapping issue he tried everything ktm had, and told that if i wanted it to run right i would need an aftermarket ecu

Do you have a mapping device or some kind of adjustment tool? Both plugs look rich to me; the bottom one looks better in mid throttle and WOT, but maybe rich on the slow circuit, or whatever they use to describe that in tpi terms. Thin out the fuel in the low-RPM/ low throttle aperture settings.

You may also want to try going one hotter on the spark plug, but watch out for detonation if you do.

I do not have a mapping device, although I have been talking to slavens racing about the problem and it sounds like if I need to get one to fix the issue , They also suggested a hotter plug so am gonna try that , They have been running the ngk br7eix in there toi bikes,half the cost and work better

motorex 2t using all ktm fluids ,pretty stock bike has fmf grunge pipe thats it

Thanks for the help guys,KTM is sending a tech to my local shop to figure it out, it seems they have another bike doing the same thing.

so it turns out that these bikes need an initialization to be done at the dealer. This is a very critical process that sets up the ecu so that it processes information correctly. It is more technical than that ,but that's my take on it. The tech that came out went thru the whole bike fine tuning it which is also part of the process, checking power valve settings ,reed valve and such. So yesterday they asked me if i could go for a ride. It was a different bike you really had to hang on,I live in the PNW so was a rainy trail ride. Bottom line ktm stepped up fixed my bike,and the people i had to deal with where super nice . My faith has been restored ,thanks for the input guys.

Stock KTM\Husky Reed cage is a joke.

Buddy of mine has had nothing but issues and took the OEM one off and you can see daylight around the cage.

VForce helped it out tremendously. He is having a lean issue thought. Got a GET ECU and is going to see if he can get it figured out from there.

I believe my bike was the other bike doing the same thing that they sent the tech out to work on. I haven't got to ride mine much since they fixed it but it ran great the first couple rides last summer. I moved and have been busy but anyways I rode it two days this week and before I could ride the second day I had to change the plug because the other one was fouled and wouldn't start? Its been very frustrating.

I also had to change my riding style,going from 4 stroke to 2 stroke is completly different. I ride right on the edge of the pipe ,also had to gear down to a 52 in back that helped tons.Now when i am done with a ride there is no drizzle on the back of the pipe ,I see that some of my buddies do have that.I also warm my bike up completly before riding I dont let it idle ,just slowly keep rolling the throttle and as it gets warm roll it on more to clean it out.The one other thing i changed is i pull in the clutch on any downhill unless i am gassing it .These are all things i was told to try and it has been working great,I am sure that some of you more experienced guys are thinking what a noob ,but lol I have only been back into the sort for about 7 years so noob it is ,any way I hope you get it resovled.
