Anyone heard about the 'new' Yamaha recommended cam chain 12 hour change, seems they have had a few fail. But not taking liability or improved parts.

This has been a weak point on the yamaha 250...they are cheap to buy, and not that hard to change...the damage from breaking one is severe...so...be safe not sorry

We change the one's on our 450's whenever we do a top end too.....

With that said...if you are an average rider, out having fun on the weekend...I'm sure they last just fine...We rode "B" class and was pretty hard on equipment.
