Anyone tried running with a dark lens ski goggle? I think both Oakley and 100% MX lenses are to bright in sunny conditions

Bonus is the double glazing to stop them fogging up in damp conditions

Be careful because ski goggles may not have the same impact resistance as moto goggles. And the extra venting could easily let in more dust.

Meh, I used a pair of Smith ski goggles once or twice when I was a kid, but modern goggles are shaped very different now. Idk if some of them even fit an MX helmet. Plus they are sometimes vented differently and may let in more dust like disbanded said^

I’m surprised you can’t find a motocross goggle to suit your needs with all the options out there these days. I’ve been using Oakley Airbrakes with the 24k/Iridium lense in the AZ desert and love them

The Problem for me is when it's snow and sunny then the Oakley iridium lenses just isn't dark enough for me

I do every time. I bought Very Expensive goggles for snowboarding and used them once. Decided they needed used so I use them for Moto now. Anon M2. They have magnetic lenses too so easy switch if its overcast

I'd look into 509. They're a company that makes both mx and snowmobile goggles. Might have better impact protection than ski goggles

Snowmobile goggles may be more suited for your needs. I bought the snow lens for my Scott Prospects for winter and they’ve been working great. Minimal fog and probably much better protection than the ski lens. The protection thing is just an assumption however.

I have worn Moto goggles skiing and ski goggles when I was motoing for two reasons. Too lazy and too cheap. They work for both. Venting was not a problem.

This. Mostly the dust. One dusty ride and they are done.
