Pettis has a 2 year deal that will see him defend his titles next year and move up to the 450 in 2020. Not only that but he plans on doing 5 West coast 250SX rounds. I'm pumped on that. Gives us another guy to cheer for.

Did I also read that rules for US riders is changing. Now CDN teams can sign any US rider outside the top 10? Was previously top 20 for the 250 class.

Currently no rider who finished inside the top 20 in the 250 class down south can compete in Canada in the 250 class but they're looking at changing that to no rider who finished inside the top 10. Rules are different for the 450 class.

Like I mentioned above, McAdoo currently can't race the 250 class up here next summer but will be eligible for it if the rule changes.

I don't mind that change to be honest. It's just going to make our 250 class more competitive and force our riders to get better.

Looks like McAdoo signed with GEICO for the '19 Supercross season.

Club Mx/Traders/Redemption Racing Yamaha

Josh Osby, Jayce Pennington & Tanner Stack. As mentioned Cameron McAdoo has now signed with Geico Honda for SX.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Joey Crown join the team as his replacement.

Keylan Meston will join the Club MX/Redemption team. More than likely replacing Eric Jeffery.

Carlson Racing

Doing West coast portion with Wesley Carlson. Will still support Wyatt Wadell and Davey Fraser.

I question these moves, Why would T-Dags take a demotion and go back to 250's? (This shouldn't even be allowed IMO) I love this guy but with his resume and results?

What happened with MG2? End of contract and couldn't settle? With all his success with OTSFF I thought he'd be their until retirement?

I hope the 450 agrees with Maff, he didn't look great on the little green bike compared to his championship year on blue.

I also think Pettis will haul ass! He'll keep improving down south and up here I think he'll shred everyone.

Colt's gonna add another championship before he hangs the gone fishing sign up!

I kind of agree that Tyler should stick to the 450 class since he's already a 2 time MX2/250 champ, AMA West 250 AX champion, Montreal SX winner, etc.

That said I believe the rules state that no 2 time MX2/250 champion can compete in that class for a minimum of 5 years after winning 2 titles or a 450 title. Tyler has been out of the 250 class for longer than that so in that regard it's fair game.

Not only that but Kawasaki has a say in the matter and he might be the best available option. Personally I would have kept him on the 450 alongside Goerke and signed Joey Crown to the 250. Crown might not be available and/or might be heading to Club MX/Traders/Redemption Yamaha Team.

As for Goerke moving teams from OTSFF to Kawasaki I couldn't tell you. Team Green would know more about that. Maybe he was looking for a change or had a better offer since they are now racing all year as oppose to just the summer months.

Really looking forward to seeing what Pettis can do with the support of KTM and the guidance of JSR. Watch for him on the #160 this weekend. He's got limited time on the bike and SX testing but I won't be surprised to see him make the main event.

I personally wouldn't consider T-Dags riding a 250 a demotion especially if his contract stayed the same, bonuses etc. Based on what I read in the press release sounds like Kawasaki asked Tyler to ride the 250. We all know that follow Canadian MX, Tyler is up to ride anything anytime. His size and style seem to suit a 250 better.

Tyler is Canadian MX! I'm not saying that he is going down to 250's because of performance issues, quite the opposite, he hauls ass on a 450. His size makes him a great candidate for the 250, but style wise his versatility works on both. I think he's a total team player and accepted the teams 250 offer as the spot was open, let's be honest, there are a limited number of spots here and down south.

You can't deny that the 450 class is the premiere class, the natural transition is to come up through the ranks until you get to the big bikes, let's say step down instead of demotion. T-Dags was 4th in the series last year, one spot behind Georke. Can you imagine if last years AMA MX #4 guy were to drop to 250's next year, (not that its allowed)? The guy would be Justin Barcia, I think he won something last weekend...

These decisions are made PURELY on the "ability to win championships". Seriously, that's how all of this came about.

The 250 class in Canada was a real late, late, late silly-season of "Musical Chairs"...
You had Pettis ending up at KTM, Muff gettin' out and goin' to the OTSFF/Rockstar Yamaha 450 program, Wright receiving MULTIPLE great offers and landing right back at GDR Honda on what sounds like an amazing deal...Marco came into a great contract at MX101...& maybe someone new joining him...like I said...Musical Chairs.

Then there's the new rule change, right? Well, there's still slim pickings even with that new rule! Remember, they're looking for guys that can win titles. Period.

Anyone that thinks Tyler can't run with the fast guys in the 250s...& beat the fast guys...that're currently running up front?
Well, you don't know T'Dags & you seem to forget all he's accomplished...including those amazing motos on a 350 Husky...remember?

TeamGreen is the green team complete now? One 450 bike and one 250? Is Alessi out or did I miss something with a second 450? I get the championship ability thing and TM's move back to 250's making complete sense in that regard. I also remember over ten years ago a much younger T-Dags riding a OTSFF Suzuki, leading the points championship over guys like JSR and Morgan for a stint. I just can't help but think that he might feel like he's going back to play with the kids, and I mean no disrespect saying that cause he's going to have his hands full. As Maff and Wright move up there are two less guys to deal with.

For 2019 it’s 1-450 & 1-250.

Both the 450 & 250 classes, in Canada, are very fast and competitive (take a look at Pettis and his performance just 2 days ago). Tyler knows this. Tyler’s been racing up front with Matt, Colt and Cole.

He’s got this.

I understand it but don't like it. I think Tyler could win the 450 title.

He was probably better than ever in 2018 and sounded stoked to ride the 2019 450.

Jake Tricco has joined the GDR Honda Team and looks like GDR have a new sponsor in SmarTop.

Maybe the Smartop deal has something to do with GDR bringing Alessi in for '19.

There was a rumour floating that Alessi would be riding for GDR in '19? Not sure if that's still valid.

Maybe the Smartop deal has something to do with GDR bringing Alessi in for '19.

There was a rumour floating that Alessi would be riding for GDR in '19? Not sure if that's still valid.

Unrelated to Mike but how's testing going with Tyler? Daytona happening ?
The Alessi deal will be official soon I am sure. I do spend some time with Mike. As for Tyler he will be ready for Daytona no doubt about it. The team will have to decide if he will line up. He is flat hauling on the 250 his lap times have been faster than on the 450!
