No Site Lap at A1

I noticed no one opted to do a site lap at A1..... With riders going down in the first turn and the first lap, in hind sight was that the right decision?

Yes why would you want to make your bike muddy and hotter for just a site lap , when they have 15 to 20 minutes of racing to do still

People go down in the first turn and first lap of basically every race.

It still amazes me how good theseriders are.The blokes that advanced out of the of the 1st 450 heat hadn't seen the track or how the lines developed in a couple of hours. There was another heat race, 2 LCQ's and a lites main event in the mud that all took place in the meantime and tore the track to shit. Then they come out, rip a start, jump ridiculous rhythms in the mud everything first lap in traffic and nobody kills each other cross rutting/jumping at all.

Clean tires work better on the metal grate among the other things mentioned. Saw them taking tire covers off on the line so as to not pick up any mud on the way from the pits.

Being there in person, they announced to the audience that the site lap was about to happen and then 60 seconds later were saying to get ready for the gate drop. It wasn't made clear as to who made the call.

Good observation, quite a few sliding past the 1st turn might have benefitted from a muddy bike.
