Hitting the gnarliest hills in Jawbone Canyon

But it would be cool if people pointed out some hills that "can't be climbed" so we can check them out. None of those hills in the video were particularly impossible or super challenging for Austin, he just took odd lines and tried to change it up. I'm almost certain nobody has climbed that one in the video that he bump started in and out of the creek!
Yeah, I rode with Myron before. A friend of mine knows him. Myron's something else. One time I was with a large group and he rolled in, welcomed everyone to Jawbone one by one as if he owned it, and then proceeded to get up in the back of his truck shirtless and announce to the group... (not even knowing who most of us were).

"I can make each and every one of you faster, stronger, fitter, and better on the bike. But you need one thing and I don't think your mommies and daddies gave it to you. Discipline!"

Jaws dropped! Then he went and warmed up on Widowmaker.

Austin's a hell of a rider and I didn't mean to belittle his skills. But the swingarm extension is a bit of a cheater deal, you have to admit. Some of the craziest stuff I've seen back there isn't crazy because of steepness and length, but rather the technical aspect of it with twisty lines, loose rocks on the trail, no run at it, drop off next to the trail, etc. Erzberg-ish type stuff. The swingarm extension would probably be a liability in terms of just getting to some of those spots.

That is so cool about Myron! Sounds like THE man down there, I love locals like that. Much respect to him.

Yeah there is some nasty stuff out there, and that tight trail rock-bashing stuff is more my style! As far as his setup goes, our #1 goal is to provide good exposure for the sport of motoclimb, and we would be just another "moto" video if he wasn't extended or had a paddle. We also didn't have much time to explore back in the canyons because this film trip was very limited on time. We drove from Beaumont the night before, and only spent about 5 hours scouting/riding/filming in the canyon, and we had to capture as much footage as possible. It ended up working out alright! He has a good eye for weird lines and going over funky obstacles fast.

Mr mayron white is one of the most talented rider iv ever rode with he will make most grown men cry like a baby there is hills in the hills surrounding jaw bone that I guarantee most of you have never even been to there's a few people that are die-hards that know where they're at but it takes skill just to even get to those Hills I've never met Austin personally but a good friend of mine or P4 I just spoke very highly of him there's another place above the town where I live in Ojai the hills aren't super long but there's some very steep hard heels up there and Balinger Canyon that are back in some little nooks and crannies that most people don't even know about I would love to take Austin and any of the other Pro hill climbers up there there's an old boy named Steve stith that grew up up there nothing that that guy can't climb he's got an old school Harley hillclimber and a couple KTM 550 S anytime anybody wants to go find some hills I got a group of friends that will take you

I am so pumped you guys rode at Jawbone. I spent many days at Jawbone as from 5 years old and up. The widowmaker (I wonder if it is still called that) is one hell of a hill. Saw many try to climb it.

Bean Canyon is a fun ride, Hannas old track is out there too, but the big hill climbs are way in the back, so not sure how easy it would be getting the equipment there for filming. Bean became the go to canyon for riding and camping.

There is a few really good ones in that canyon, but there's better hillclimbs out at Spangler Hill (Trona). The single track is also good at Spangler and it's legal to ride there.
Not sure if youve seen "invaders" out at Spangler or if it is any bigger / better than anything at jawbone cause I've only been to jawbone once but spangler is loaded with some really cool canyons with tons of hillclimbs etc. Fun times out there for sure!

Obvisouly have never seenDan Smith or Larry Roessler out play riding in the desert.Now take the extentions off and run a knobby tire,then we will be impressed!!!

I’m not sure of the names. I've ridden every inch of that place over the years, but there’s a few of those hill climbs that are outta my league. I’m not a real fan of the gnarly ones, but I’ll follow guys up stuff that I would normally avoid climbing. Sometimes I surprise myself, but other times it’s not a fun time at all !! I hate coming down some of those deep rain rutted valleys. Lol
