Doing a top end (and crank seals) on my KTM 300.

Not sure I got the right piston as the cut off (not sure what you call these) on the stock and new ones are totally different.
I assume they are useful for the the power valve operation as the (not through) holes on the new piston match where the control valves ports are in the cylinder. Or are they just for weight saving?

Are you going to use this as a woods bike? If so, do you have any tips for the mapping for tighter sections? Might be racing one of these this winter OR go to Florida and ride. $$ is a bitch

I am racing it in the woods, So far I liked the stock map the best. I put a Notoil super flow kit on it and it seems a little lean now and wants to pop when I shut off the gas, so I'm gonna modify the stock map and see how that does.

New chain and sprocket. Went with MXA +1 on the rear! Now I have a 49,50, and 51. D.I.D ERT3 chain

Tomorrow I'm gonna put the 1mm spacer washer in my 2003 KX250's powervalve governor and correct the tension they screwed up at the factory.....looks like it's easy but I know it won't be I've read the TT tutorial a hundred times and will read it 100 more while doing it hope all goes well.

Those graphics look good man, simple and clean but branded. Kinda cool how the seat covers are reciprocating colors ??
