When adding emulators the directions say that there is one existing hole 48mm from the bottom and to add another. The weird thing is there appears to have been an additional hole drilled, and then soldered back up on my rod. Also, I have 4 holes drilled on the bottom near the compression valve. From looking at pictures on parts catalog it seems there should only be 2? Was stock 2 or 4 at the bottom?

The objective is to have enough flow through them that they don't influence compression damping at all and instead the emulator takes over the job.
The only holes in the damper rod that are still working are the rebound holes.
The emulator handles all the compression responsibility.
Almost, but not all, compression is handled by the emulators.
Good luck at the race!
