Suzuki dropping out of two racing series is a bummer and if they just come out with BNG on a bike that needs some refining that would be disappointing to say the least.

What's funny to me about your impression of Suzuki, is they were seriously thinking about bringing back a 2 stroke recently. But, yet, they won't give more attention to their 4 strokes. Indeed, they are confusing.

Did you hear why they moth balled the 2 stroke idea?
Bringing back the two-stroke wasn't a Japan idea, it was a US idea...that should explain itself.

Better do a lil research my friend before you pop off and look stupid. Iv been in this game along time. When a co is in BK all expenditures must be approved by the court. Chapter 11 is a reorganization and can take yrs to complete. So yes fresh out of Bankruptcy.

I know very well what happened. This isn't my first rodeo either. People take shit out of context all the time about Suzuki finances on this forum. It's called reading comprehension. Suzuki closed it's automotive branch down in North America because it was losing money. Instead they restructured to focus on their motorcycles, quads, and marine divisions in NORTH AMERICA. The automotive industry in North America is massive and there's a ton of competition. They couldn't get enough of a market share so they let the weakest link go. That has NOTHING to do with how Suzuki Japan is doing worldwide financially. Understand? Suzuki Japan. Suzuki is a Japanese company.

You should do research and learn what American suzuki is and how they’re not Suzuki motors. Suzuki makes more every year than kawie Yamaha and Ktm combined so yes you’re a idiot. Since they’re all publicly traded all financials are real easy to find

ML512. What's really holding back Suzuki from making a lighter faster bike? Every other manufacture seems to have found out how to develop a lighter bike with E-start. How come Suzuki can't rip a page out of their book?

Look Im a big zook fan I have no reason to BS anyone. Im also a Business owner for over 20 yrs and have had my share of problems. Im also somewhat educated .So I researched this a great deal back when they filed as I was wondering if they where going to be around! So read and learn. American Suzuki IS part of and owned by Suzuki motor corp. That is Suzuki japan for those of you that do not know. To say that American suzuki has nothing to do with Suzuki of Japan is ludacris. Diff countries have diff finance laws soooo they have diff divisions in diff countries. Yes the car div of zook was killing it in addition to a bad economy in the US. Bottom line is because of the car div AND the bad economy (Bike sales took a big tumble) they where in deep shit and had to file BK chap 11 which is reorganization. while in BK ALL expenditures must be approved by the court! That doesnt mean they are broke just means they had issues and needed time to work them out. So let me spell it out for you.
Lets say you own a biz with 2 divisions You own both divisions.... follow me? now the economy crashes. Division one hasnt been doing well and pretty much goes to complete shit and starts loosing tons of $$$ your second division because of a bad economy is struggling as well. So your loosing division is taking capitol from your struggling division and as a whole..... (Both divisions) are loosing $$$ Now you have suppliers for both co and banks (creditors) that want there money and your loosing money and this has been going on for a couple yrs and if it continues your history! So you file BK to restructure your debt and your co so you can stay in biz and move forward. This is all fact!! I have a couple of friends that have been in the MGMT levels of kawi and Yam and I talk to them on a reg basis and I have a pretty good idea what is going on in the industry as a whole .So im going to leave it here. if you are to lazy to research it yourself and wanna continue to run your mouths about something you know nothing about. Awesome!
OH BTW and yes I know there is a world out side the US. I also know the US economy is the worlds largest by a long ways and what happens here effects the rest of the world economies. FYI my college deg is'nt in the arts. JS

Thats great! Maybe you can tell me who owns controlling interest in American Suzuki AKA Suzuki motors of America????
the following is from Bloomberg and maybe you can tell me exactly owns Suzuki Motors of America?????
Bloomberg:As previously announced, the Plan approved the Company's sale of its Motorcycles/ATV and Marine divisions and Automotive parts and service operation to a newly organized, wholly-owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation. The subsidiary will operate in the continental U.S. as Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. and will use the Suzuki products brand name.
BAM!

LMAO no I’m not butt hurt but FYI I typed it out on my phone so sometimes they make changes that I don’t notice. Secondly yeah you’re right my degree is actually iin health physics and a minor in business. If I was writing a paper for English class I probably would’ve paid more attention to spelling but since it is for this I wasn’t too concerned about it. By the way my correct spelling has never made me any more money. I pay people to do that for me LOL Oh and here’s one For ya I’m so old bad when I was in school we didn’t even have a computer. Computers pretty much took up hole rooms. So spell check didn’t even exist so I kind a have taught myself The whole computer thing over the years. Lmao

I love my 18 Suzuki, only thing for me its lacking some of is just little more HP everywhere, if I don't get a 19 I will have some motor work done this winter when I tear it down.

Cracks me up how bad people bad mouth them, when most of them are complete squids anyway, anyone around me that is on Suzuki now is happy as can be, and most of them came off of Ktm's or Yamahas.

I have 24 hours on mine and have had zero issues as well ( everyone says they're pieces of shit too ), and I go fairly fast and am a large man.

Why would a local rider buy a exhaust, ignition, remap. Head work done? 450 is plenty good stock , unless ya just wanna build a trick bike. Imo.

LMAO yup I'm the moron. I never said Suzuki the co in Japan filed for BK Why? BC Suzuki the co in Japan doesn't do business in the US!!!!! Soooooo they wouldn't file BK in the US BUUUUUT American Suzuki that was a subsidiary and solely owned by Suzuki motors of Japan (of which you said it was publicly owned) NOT TRUE did file BK in the US. I'M not going to throw any names around but I have a friend that is a big attorney here in Houston and is very good friends with a certain team mgr at Suzuki and there were money problems in 08-12. If you wanna call BS be my guest but there is plenty of info out there about the $$$ issues at Suzuki. Why the hell do you think they didn't change there 450 for 9 fricking yrs? Why do you think they let RD and RD go??? Oh wait your thick head prob thinks they just sat on there ass for no reason. I'm soooo done with this convo! I know what the facts are and I'm sure there are plenty on this forum that do also. sooooo piece dude.

The Suzuki RM-Z450 is the heaviest bike in the class for 2019 and the only kickstart bike...KTM designed their engine and layout around it...right now they've only taken on about two pounds at most with e-start only. But they're around 15lbs lighter than the RM-Z with a full tank of fuel (and the KTM holds more fuel).

Is the extra weight that aluminum frame?

When do the Jap mani’s start going back to steal frames?

Little bit is in the frame. In Suzuki's case though...it's mostly the engine, airbox, airboot, subframe, and exhaust.

I’m assuming RCH could fix the, air box, air boot, sub frame and exhaust...so is it the motor and frame that kept them from getting to the KTM stock weight?

I have both bikes, and it's just so many things about the rmz that make it heavier.

When I line up my fc450 with my rm125, it looks like someone just shoved a small 450 engine in the 125

Post a reply to: Any word on the 2019 Suzuki RMZ 450?
