If you have not had to spend months with others with TBI learning life functions again like walking, talking, reading ...... you have no idea what you are talking about. It took me 3 months to get out of therapy.

I was told in the hospital I would never be able to work again and that Moto Hose would close and go bankrupt. I am fortunate to be at a level where I could keep going but some bad days still and will always happen.

I hope I am wrong but my guess is Millsaps has been riding on this same train.

I don't remember the first two weeks in intensive care because I suppose I wasn't forming long term memories for a while there either even though I was only out for a minute or two. I came back pretty good and the best thing I did was go back and further my education, but never got back to where I was. I got 3 quarters through mechanical engineering before I hit the wall. That was 25 years ago. I've been going down hill pretty fast the last 10 years. Name and word recall issues makes me look like a stuttering, bumbling fool. Recently did a level 2 paramedics course as part of my job in emergency services and while I was getting 100% or near in the theory because I'm good with physics I guess, I failed prac because I couldn't recall what to do properly or calmly in the staged prac exams and failed and once they knew I was brain impaired, got managed out of the job pretty quickly. Don't know how my decline will go in the future but I guess it will be similar to early onset Alzheimer's. This took me about 25 minutes to write with all the prove writing and rewriting I have to do to get the ramblings legible to others.
Sorry to derail that from Ian. Had to vent a little. Going through some issues at the moment myself
