That man is pointing a loaded weapon at Federal officers, and you think that is funny?

I don't care one way or the other about how the courts ruled on this, he is pointing a loaded gun at federal authorities.

Lets say that is a black man.

Are you still laughing?

I have a .30-06 for hunting deer.

I know what a sporting rifle is.

I also know what is not a sporting rifle.

What’s funny is you using the Bundy standoff to make a point when all that shit was thrown out of court for the feds overstepping the law and covering up evidence that made them look corrupt and maybe even “tyrannical “. Gotta love that 2nd amendment, totally prevented a shot from being fired didn’t it? Unlike when they murdered Finicum.

And here you go race baiting as usual. A black man lawful exercising his 2A rights? Damn, now that’s a beautiful sight too isn’t it. Why should it be any different for a black man?

^^^ are all those statements about MD laws pertaining to guns true?

If so, bravo. They have it right and I wish all other states followed suit. T

rained, armed officials at schools is the best solution IMO.

How so? How am I "clueless"?

This kid wanted to kill his ex, and he brought a pea shooter onto campus.

It was a gun that was equivalent to the fire power that the SRO had, and it was stopped quickly.

What if that kid had chosen an AR-15, with high capacity magazines?

What then?

Would the officer have responded? Would there only be two victims, or would there have been another 17?

You need your guns to keep your government honest. Lets say you have to use it in that capacity. Are you shooting city police? State troopers? Soldiers? Marines?

You "love" your country, but you also need the ability to kill those people who wear the uniform, right?

So an AR15 is a sporting rifle? Oh, yes, the sport of hunting humans. I believe it is catching on too.
Absolutely its a sporting rifle...its a great-fun-target gun...its a great predator gun (Coyote, Bobcat, Badger, Fox)...its even a great varmint gun-though a little over the top, it gets the job done (Rabbit, Squirrel, ground hog, prairie dog, etc.). It is absolutely a sport rifle.

Wait, so now a 9mm is a "pea shooter"? Really? That statement proves you are clueless about guns.

Do the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting agree with you? (he used a couple .22 caliber hand guns, a 9mm and a Glock 19). Killed 33 people with those "pea shooters".

Come on dude...a trained LEO-with the element of surprise-vs an untrained teenager-or any person-with any weapon is a no brainer in favor of the LEO...history has shown that as soon as these shooters are engaged the killing stops...the fact that the coward in Florida didn't do what he was supposed to, has nothing to do with the guns and everything to do with the cop being a coward.

.9mm is certainly not a peashooter it will shoot through a car door or wall much better than a .45ACP.
Less recoil for more accurate rapid fire etc...
I could go on & on in regards to the pluses.
Downside is less knockdown power at close range vs a 45. ...but 9mm is still very lethal in the right hands, any firearm/caliber is.

Sport means the opponent in this case (the game) is given a fair chance.
Hunting with an assault rifle is abusive and the least sporty thing one can do.

It`s safe to say there was nothing stopped. He was killed after the fact.
But if you want to run politics, go ahead. This seems different from other mass shootings, but it is used as the same and as if it was stopped.

LOL

You do realize that "assault rifles" aren't the only rifles that come in semi-auto, right?

This gun is Semi-Auto (Browning BAR Safari):

So is this one (Remington Woodsmaster...it can be chambered in .243, .308, .270, 30-06 and more):

Do you think a Coyote or Fox stands any great chance with one of those guns that the AR-10's and AR-15's that you are afraid of because they look "military"??? (those higher capacity magazines you'll see on the AR's won't help when hunting animals...because you'll never have time to fire that many rounds, the animals will be long gone)....Come on man...AR's are sport rifles...

It was a shooting at a school, how bad does it have to be to register on your radar? And there was a whole lot stopped when the good officer deaded his ass right there on the spot. At least I don't have to worry about my taxes going up to feed, shelter , medicate and educate one more sorry POS. Wink

You assume (incorrectly) that I know nothing about guns.

None of those rifles you showed a photo of, are designed to deal with overheating from high firing rates.
Those are true sporting rifles.

Again, don't assume things.

So if your prior post, they weren't sport rifles because the game doesn't stand a chance (due to the Rapid firing ability of the AR's)...now they aren't sporting rifles, not because of rapid firing, but because they aren't designed to deal with overheating from high fire rates? You are grasping at straws...got any more you want to grasp at?

You're opinion that they aren't sport rifles...is in opposition to pretty much everyone else...so I think you're wrong:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AR-15_style_rifle
"They are referred to as modern sporting rifles by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a firearms industry trade association, and by some manufacturers."

https://www.nssf.org/msr/
"AR-15-platform rifles are among the most popular firearms being sold. They are today’s modern sporting rifle."

So if you want to hold the incorrect opinion that they aren't sport rifles...then knock yourself out.

Holy smokes, do you believe what you type? When it comes to feral hogs, there's no "sport" to it. It's all about eradicating an invasive species as quickly and efficiently as possible. It can however, be fun...

I have absolutely no idea how "LOL" and "LMAO" can be used in a thread on this topic.

Children are getting shot on a weekly basis, and half of this crowd thinks is funny.

It also appears that the same population thinks a 9mm = a .50 cal.

What are you talking about?
They can call an assault gun a "Sugar Plum Angel", it doesn't change the design purpose of the weapon.

You do realize we aren't actually changing anything in here right? Nothing we say will have any affect on anything...so lighten up.

And nobody is laughing at the casualties...I am laughing at people who are clueless about guns trying to tell us how guns are the problem.

And when did someone use a .50 cal in a school shooting?
