An all-new track at Autodromo Franciacorta.

They're looking at venues similar to here at Donington. Easy access, multiple airports, good infrastructure, lots of camping, etc. http://www.autodromodifranciacorta.it/

Ha! You have the same sources that I do...particularly since you're setting two seats over from me in the press room here at the MXoN. Wink

Is this for certain? I want to purchase my plane tickets now so they wont be so expensive, plus tell the office I have to take two weeks off. That isnt easy to do pull off because i fly all over the country managing IT systems for Oil Refineries. I wish I was doing that for the fule injection systems for Team Kawasaki but one can only dream right? What airport are you flying in to?

Thanks,
Reese

Here is the link I found on the website that you posted after doing some digging around. I read Italian just well enough to get what I need. I hope this helps everyone else looking for informaiton about this event. Everyone should go and support the Red, White and Blue!

Given past History nothing is 100% certain . However I'm sure the race will go off in Italy like planned.

It is sad that the single most historic race of our sport has been regulated to man made tracks on flat ground inside auto racing facilites. Maybe it is time to change the name to the Supercross of Nations.
It will be a great race no matter where it is but it no longer has the magic of the varying soils/hills from around the globe.

Yup same can be said for all the Great GP tracks that are no longer because they don't fit the F-1 mold.
