Help with RM fork ID

1984 RM125?

Dual actuated drum, funny fender, yellow forks.....what else could it be?

1984 RM, the only year the came with the yellow protectors on the forks

They are actually 83.
Painted yellow that year, but most of all these forks have the brake cable adjuster at the top of the leg. Bogus design winner for 83.

But 83 didn't have the dual actuated brake drum. What are the chances something that crusty had been updated in its life?

I meant 83...my bad...wasn't really painted either...some kind of plastic covering like you get on edam cheese...LOL

Yeah they did have twin leading shoe brake. The 82 Z had single.
I didn't notice you put RM125. When I said 83 I meant 83 RM250.
The 83 backing plate was twin leading but doesn't have the cable ajuster built in, because its on the fork leg. Unique to that year only. I know because I had one in 83.

The forks were painted yellow but did have the plastic skin stuff on them below the spindle/clamp area. The main part was paint.

The 84's came with a plastic snap on leg protector.

Those forks are 1983 RM250.

Oh and the other thing that ID's them as 250 and not 125 is that the part where the cable clamps at the top of the leg and the part where the spindle goes through look like they are pressed on fittings rather than cast as part of the leg if that makes sense.
