....at the titty club getting wasted friday night before the race...again and again. All the talent in the world but not enough motivation and I don't see that changing anytime soon, as much as I'd like to. I hope I'm wrong though because I love his riding style and his unique persona.
You're right! He's already led the most laps at the toughest SX of the year and finished on the box. Most guys don't do that there whole career. He'll have lost all motivation now and will never start another SX main in his life. Tongue

Just going by what Roger D said the other day. He seemed very definitive about having Reed and Dungey in the 450 class on Suzukis, but he waffled on the fate of Alessi. He then added that maybe one for SX and one for MX. I assuming that may have Reed for SX and 800 for MX.

Personally, I don't think Mike would want to sit out the SX season next year. SX may not be his strong suit, but the guy seems to love race as much as he can.

JGR might be a good fit. JLAW has tons of natural talent. Anyone that's seen him at one of the nationals knows that. Even when he had mediocre results it's obvious that his bike skills are superior to those that finished in front of him. He just doesn't try as hard. He's like a more skilled Josh Hansen, but he's still healthy and young enough to focus and turn it around if he wants to. Maybe Albrecht can help him.

Alessi has been factory for a couple years, probably has a lot more back up resources than Jlaw. Jlaw said he was broke and riding last years bikes. Jlaw working for Coach Gibbs? Good one. Never last.

Yeah.....but football coaches are well trained in dealing with people like Lawrence.
Might be easy for Gibbs.

yeah, it sure worked out for Hansen.

Here is the reality,

Jlaw has peaked.

He lucked into a second place position because there was a huge pile up that set a lot of real racers back in the field.

Does anybody really believe he has the discipline to be in shape for July and August outdoor racing?

The next RC? Puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezeeeeeeeee

I agree that the best fit would be JGR.

East Coast based, and with them putting up with Tony Stewart for all those years, J-Law would be a walk in the park.

Anyone know what J-bone thinks of him?

I hate to say it, but he will be in the same place next year as this year. Blazing speed, half assed sponsors, and no money. I believe in 2nd chances, but he burnt his 2nd a long time ago......Nobody is going to invest any money in him. .......and I actually think he's super intelligent, just dosen't care. Nothing is important to him.

If he goes out and rides fast and consistent, finishing the indoors and outdoors that way, he'll get a ton of support.

But, that's a huge IF that I don't believe will happen. Then again, I didn't expect him to finish at Daytona and I sure didn't expect him to be the fastest rider on the tract for 3/4 of the race.

That's right. You guys know of a "hot head" named Tony Stewart?
