To ride as strong as he did after being as dingy as he was after that accident was RC-worthy.

yep. to finish that race w/ that tweaked bike. And on pace. Remarkable.

But he's not a racer and doesn't have heart. Listen to the x-spurts here.

He seemed to shake it off pretty damn quick, although I'll guess he was still pretty whacked out and most of that was just raw talent and years of practice. Amazing how quickly he started going fast again.

If he ends up with the title in SX it will be that ride that made the difference.

Imagine crashing, getting run over, getting your bell rung so bad you get on the wrong bike, and then come back and finish 7th. Amazing show of desire.

I was worried that he had rung his bell pretty good because the first couple laps he looked pretty bad. Slow through corners, cased a couple jumps and then Wham..... back to normal...turned some crazy fast laps in traffic.
Impressive ride really.

Yep. Was very impressive. That bike (and his head) was bent out of shape...and he still posted 2nd fastest laptime. The guy is a beast. Hope he's resting up this week....

Totally agree.

That was a ride for the title.

How'd you like to be the sorry son of a bitch lining up next to him on the gate trying to get a win?

The Stew is a beast, no doubt.

Credit where it's due, he's tough and that was the most impressive ride of the night in my obviously worthless opinion. Some people would have blamed someone else and just thrown their bike on the ground if it were bent up as bad as his. Just sayin'

I also can't believe Stroupe got up from his lawn dart impersonation. That would've put me in the hospital for several months. The kid looked like he was ready to go race again. Unbelievable.

nevermind the others that were hurt because he was too hellbent on getting the holeshot.

To come back from a horiffic crash like that, with shattered personal gear and a badly bent bike, after giving the competition a 30+ second head start, and finish 7th is damn impressive. Almost unbelievable actually.

He still finished over 35 seconds behind Reed, so really he didn't gain any ground on the leaders.

What was "badly bent" on his bike?

lol...I agree.

All these people keep saying that he had a "badly bent bike"...besides a piece of plastic, I wanna know what was so "badly bent" on his bike.

He had no way of knowing his bike had missiled to the far side of the corner. He saw a blue bike where his should have been. Personally, I think he showed a tremendous amount of strength and desire.

I was wondering how long it would take for his effort and desire to win to be minimized into some lucky random act. Any of the riders could've fallen like that and been lucky to not have blown a knee - that part is obvious. But how many could've spotted the pack like that and finished that way - James, Chad who else?

You lean towards it being lucky. Cool. I call it something else...RC-worthy, impressive, remarkable, amazing, beast like...

It looked as though the forks were twisted in the triple clamps also....but the fender may have just given that impression

tell me you didn't chuckle when Hill was standing behind patting stewart and pointing to his bike...

not laughing at his misfortune, but the events that transpired post-crash. i thought it was comical, as did everyone who watched it with me.

as i've said before though, huge pat on the back to his ride. any lesser of a racer would have packed it up and went home

Sorry...but this post is the "retard post" of the day. Your putting Stewie down for giving it 100% on trying to get the holeshot? yeah....what an asshole....how dare he try that hard to get a holeshot!

Jesus Christ dude....haven't you been able to tell by now by the way Stewie rides....he gives it 100% from the drop of the gate to the checkered flag....no matter what position he's in. You make it sound like he's the only guy out there trying to get to the first corner first....and then actually making a mistake......shit happens man!
