I saw the live timing at the end of the race, Reed had the fastest lap. And quite frankly I am glad that Reed won because now the series in interesting. I would still bet on Stewart winning the title but he is going to have some work cut out for him now.
You can still look at the live timing:

they mentioned it in Reeds heat when comparing laptimes.

Yep, in Chad's heat they said Chad had the fastest lap at 1:08 and then said Stewie turned a 1:07.5 in his heat.

Are you really this thick? First you try to claim that Villopoto was on Reeds tail throughout the race and now you are trying to disprove facts.

I just finished watching it, they didn't say anything at all about a 1:07 in the main.

He was over 10 seconds behind him. He rode a great race but it is a spot of irritation for me when his fans try to say that he will suddenly start beating Reed.

You know Bobby, even if they dock him one position, Alessi will not get on the podium. And all this name calling does nothing for your cause.

Ok, here goes!Whistling
Most on here know full well
I'm a Jason fan. Some history!
Sure I'm proud of him.
I've been in many a 1st turn.
Up, down or sideways, what happened
there at Daytona was simple!
"A train wreck".....
Regardless of what happened next,
it's what didn't happen that's key!
1st, NO RED FLAG?
2nd, NO RE-START either?
3rd, NO PROTEST?
NONE................
Daytona was what it was!
Train wrecks are about survival!
Train wrecks are about being tough & moving on!
Again, I saw the TV, & all the replays.
But again still, please refer to my 1,2, & 3 !
E-nough said!Woohoo

JS had the fastest lap time of the entire event during the main, one of the announcers yelled it during the broadcast.

So? Big fucking deal.

Point is that J-Law's times were competitive. Booby tried to be "smart" and insinuate that the fast lap was by somebody who didn't benefit from it, but it backfired on him.

It was obvious to most that J-Law got trapped and rode around the mess. It was obvious he was running the 3rd fastest lap in the main (only to Reed and Stew). It wasn't obvious that the kid was trying to cheat or gained unfair advantage.

And it's also obvious he rode around Alessi like Alessi was standing still, which is probably why Booby has his panties in a bunch.

Yeah Jason rode 'around' the mess. Well, more like, he rode SHORT of the mess but, whatever. He dodged the mess. I suppose we shouldn't be supprised by the ama's unwillingness to enforce rules but, I can't understand the punk mentality that not only permits, but rejoices in the 'hey, here I am. oh, the track goes that way but, there's stuff in the way over there. i'll go over here and, uhh, it'll be SAFER, yeah that's it, SAFER!' way of thinking. It's no wonder the world is in the mess it's in. Not much honor in it. Jason RODE very, very well. He's fast, no one can deny it. Probably fast enough to have turned back onto the track properly, in the spirit of the rules, rode AROUND the first turn, and still have RACED into the top ten. That would have been impressive.
The cure for these infractions would be 1- no people on the inside or outside of the first turn. That means no photographers or team managers. 2- signage, tape or barriers solid all the way to the apex of the first turn. 3- no riding beside the track at any time for any reason. Enter the track at the exact point or behind, that you exited, no exceptions. 4- ENFORCE ALL RULES or, get out of the way and let someone do it who will. Sorry for the rant. Now flame away

I just watched the heat and they didn't say it there. I am watching the main now and they just said Stewie turned the fastest lap of the night at 1:08.8 on the 8th lap. I'll keep watching to see if they ever say 1:07.5 but do you think maybe you misheard them?
it was the main...but so what. these dipshits look stoopid anyways. main or heat....lmfao.

I agree with 1 through 4. Considering the situation, he seemed to have made the right choice. IMO, he shoulda just ran over the photographers to get back on the track as soon as possible. That'd help his bad-boy image.

Okay so im finally home and just got a chance to look at the picture of the start. I was standing trackside as to watch the start from the side (the side with the farthest gate) and not head on. If you watch the video you will see Jay wheelie out of the gate but manitain control and skimming the banners to his left. Once the bike was down he gassed it to the corner but when the pile up happened he SLID as to miss them and at the same time cut the track. Im not saying it was the right possible move but at that speed there was no time to "think" of going around, its all happens within seconds. REMEMBER this was on grass not dirt so for all riders it was different than any other start. No ones at fault for the crash
And don't bash me because I support Jay, thats not the point here, just sayin what I saw.

IMHO since Jay had put down the fastest lap time and never raced this class the other top riders didnt know what to expect if in fact he got out front, therefore taking chances to get the holeshot ,as to not find out.
And I really dont think its funny to make fun of Stewart trying to get on Hills bike, that was a sign of a head injury possibly and not funny AT ALL.

I don't have anything against him, but he got a HUGE advantage by cutting the track. His final position would have been much different had he not cut the track. That's just MHO.

Just wait til they are at Freestone in 98 degree heat and 100 humidity; that rental car rolling misfit will be fading faster than a cheap pair of jeans in clorox while Mikey keeps his Zook pinned til the checkers.
