I hear ya, I agree with what dad can fork out. There’s a Husky dealer about 3 miles from us, they have a 2018 TC85, he looked at it and said it’s ok, then he said there almost 6 grand dad, you could just get me a yz125 for that money. Made me laugh, he’s just loyal to Yamaha. Not quite tall enough for the 125. He’s also rode other brands of 85s, no interest. I admire his loyalty. Great pics of you son. Are those pics at switchback????
They '18 KTM/Husky prices are crazy. We ran YZ85's with my older boy but switched to KTM(loves) with my youngest who is 12 after he tried the YZ(liked) & KX(hated). I love the Yamaha but while I agree on the rider part they are a much more refined bike that the current YZ. They are very similar to work on and while the YZ is a rock the KTM 85 isn't far behind reliability wise. Other than the PV the YZ is way ahead of the KX85 and if we weren't on KTM we would be on the Yamaha no question. We will probably switch to them next year if the new one is all that is expected. We stayed on the '15 KTM's for now hoping this would happen. Plus haven't heard rave reviews of the 18's other than power and my kid has said he has plenty of power at the moment........

I just can't believe it took yamaha or any Japanese mfg so long to come out with a new 65. I picked up a new 50sx for the daughter for Christmas and I'm so happy I have bought my last ktm. My son will get that at the end of next year and I will be buying yamaha from now on

Has anyone heard any info on this new YZ65? I can't believe there is not specs leaked. Wondering if it has a powervalve or not?
