Any one remember some of the epic battles between Mike Brownlee and Davy Jones riding xr's in the adult mini class? Late seventies, anyone have any pictures? Those were the best of times!

Boner Jones showed up to the Lynn Nickerson Benifit at River Valley yesterday. He had a borrowed KX125 and was absolutely railing the place like it was 1980 again. Other than a few wrinkles, he looks exactly the same and is ripped from running marathons. He said he hadn't ridden in six years but you would have never known it.

Brownlee was another favorite of mine back in the day. There was nothing like watching him rail the outside lines with an open face helmet, an ear to ear grin and his tongue hanging out of his mouth.

Here is Brownlee in one of my favorite photos. I was about two feet from his front tire with a super wide angle lens. Note throttle hand in WFO position.
