Big tires on QA50? Pics included

How do I get this setup with 8" tires? What do I need? Part # or link please. Newbie. I assume I need wheels, tires and hubs? What else? From where?

Looks to me like there's enough room in the rear that the Z50 wheel will bolt up, if the front won't maybe the z50 fork legs are longer. Any Z50 wheels from 68 through at least the mid 80s will work. All day long on Ebay, front and rear hubs are different, wheels are the same.

Those appear to be stock Z50A wheels and tires. I have been putting my old Z50 back together. Have had it since 1969.

While I have owned mine since 1979, I am new to the mods. Smile

So, the wheel and tire will bolt up to my hubs? I measure the bolt pattern. Both QA and Z50 are the same (90mm). So I don't need new hubs?

Yeah, most of the stuff will interchange relatively easy. I'm putting an XR75 swingarm and CT70 lower fork legs on a 78 Z50 to run CT70 wheels.

Also have another Z50 going together. A few months back, I bought a set of new Ebay knock off Z50 hubs for under $100 ,shipped. Came with bearings, backing plates , brake arms, shoes. They are the 72-78 style, but will work on the hard tails as well.

I don't know? I have some wheel halves in the garage if you need a picture with measurements. Looking at the picture I think the brake arms are shorter on the QA hub so you'll have less leverage but if they bolt up I don't see why they wouldn't work.
