Had one in 1981, have one again.
(I’m not wearing my chest/back protector under my jersey again. Makes me look even fatter than I am.... fancy gear was too yellow to cover up....)

I am really impressed with the power this 125cc pulls in the power band. I have riden it a couple times and it definitely moves. Its definitely would not take long to make my 81 from good shape to excellent. I would like to find a buyer who appreciates that bike for what it has done for motocross or who had one and would like to have one for sentimental reasons.

With the 81 rm125 you have can you use air to fill instead of nitrogen? The forks say "use air or nitrogen" Can I use air in the rear too instead of nitrogen? Also what pressure do you typically use?

The forks are designed to take a little air to assist the springs. We never used any back in the day. We actually used the valves to let any built up pressure out, like we still do with modern fork bleeders. (Skinny rider + didn’t know any better.)

IMHO the fork seals aren’t really up to it. They start leaking soon enough without added pressure.

Now I’m older, and fatter, I’ve installed heavier springs for a more modern feel.

The rear shock requires nitrogen. I had mine serviced by my normal suspension guy.
