Good Stuff.!!
I use the 10w-40 Semi-Synthetic with 10% of the Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer in all of our bikes too!
What can I say other than it works, no pun intended. If you use or have used some you know what I am talking about.
A tip is to add 10% of the Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer to the total refill capacity (90% oil / 10% HDOS) when doing your oil changes. If not comfortable using the 10w-40 there is a 20w-50 available or even the 15w-40 TBN Diesel oil too. The HDOS will not make your Clutch slip!
The “Synthetic Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer” may cause some slipping if too much is used. (I experienced that during our 50cc days mixing / adding with full synthetic 5wt oils).
Our 2008 KX 85 has only gone through 1-set of clutches during four plus seasons of races and non-race practice sessions, using the above 10w-40 set-up described above.
My oldest Step son uses it in his bikes (250F & 450F) for the past few years, races in the +25 and Pro classes and experiences no problems whatsoever with the 10w-40 or the 20w-50 mixed as mentioned above.

I tried out the Lucas motocrycle oil available at any ole auto parts retailer, their marketing worked on me, but that stuff is garbage. It broke down in about half the time, and felt like it was just straight up dissolving my clutch. When it came out of the bike it had a very 'gritty' feeling and seemed that the clutch started fading way before it should have.
I got a question for the TALIBAN, If I were in a pinch would running out-board 2 cycle oil available at the gas station be a no-no?

Sorry to hear that.
That is the first time I have heard anyone have a problem when trying the Lucas Oil. IMO there was another problem / issue going on that caused the Clutch breakdown and it was a coincidence that it happened at the same time you tried the Lucas Oil.
.
I always kept it in the rev's and never a problem. I'm in the process of breaking in my 18 and used Yamalube for the 1st oil change but will be sticking with Lucas as it has been tried and trued
