I don't think so. This will happen the same way it did after MC left and RC had to prove himself. He will never catch a break from everyone (cuz JS is great) until he cracks some of RC or MC's bigger records. Still he is already one of the greats. He just has two legends to fight. The King and the Goat.

The big diference is can James over come the Goat?

NO

The Goat's legend is in the outdoors. In Supercross he never surpassed the legend of MC. We never got to see RC and MC both in there prime.

We did get to see JS and RC on oposite sides of there prime. In my Opinion RC won.

The real legend JS needs to overcome is MC's Supercross legend. Since he choses to run from RC's legend by not running outdoors.

MC is the King, RC is the GOAT, and JS is still just Buba (the fastest racer in the world). People remember legends and if JS don't crack MC's legend then he will just be one of the best and will not have legend to look back on.

Chad ....... Poor Chad....... Wrong place wrong time.

Fans..... Man are we Lucky! Two Legends a posible Legend and 1 Great (that would be greater in a diferent decade) and a phenom (199) that never made it in MX but could still come out and podium.

Have at it!

Comparing Stewart to RC is tough because RC was at his prime and Stewart was just moving up to the bigs. Its impossible to get a who's better comparison because they were separated by 5 yrs. All I know is that Stewart at 21 is way better than RC was at 21. When it all shakes down Stewart will be considered the greatest SX rider ever. If Stewart raced the outdoors he would run the table 2 or 3 more times and RC's legend would take a little hit as the fastest ever outdoors.

Chad didn't have any problem beating RC in his rookie year (2003).

i think stewart knows he'll never be as good as RC, and he knows that everyone else knows he will never be as good as RC. But he still has the chance to beat MC's record.Check out Jeremy McGrath's Podcast where he talks all about it.

James is 23 I believe. Also, at 23 years of age RC had never lost an outdoor title so, James is better how? Oh, I remember,,,,,,, " I'm better than Ricky ever was.",,,,, Well, Ricky gave him two and a half seasons to prove it and that worked out how exactly? Will James give RV the same chance? If,,,,,,,,,,you've gotta love that word.

835,

JS already crushed ALL RC's 125 records.

I love how James gets 2nd in a SX race and all of these completely ignorant threads start popping up everywhere about all of James weakneses, he's running scared, he is not a great racer ....blah blah blah.....It's completely retarded.

James is about 10 races away from being 2nd in most SX wins all time and he has done that in less than 4 seasons in the big bike class and he has sat out about a season and a half with injuries. He missed over half of his rookie season in and all but one race last year in the big class. I would say he is doing pretty well.

Not to mention the fact that he has one of those "Undefeated Seasons" under his belt Outdoors, because they are just so easy to do right????? In fact, JS had one of those quicker than RC did in the Big class.

Stewart prefers SX and RC liked Outdoors the most. In Ricky's last season where he partially raced both series, Stewart had RC's # in SX and RC had Stewarts outdoors. No big deal. James is all about SX and it is easy to tell that is what he wants to do. I don't think anyone is in JS head. He crashed 2 times yesterday and still almost caught Reed again. If, anything, all James did Saturday night was prove he can run Reed down and pass him.

ALL? How many 125 titles do each have? Yeah he just crushed RC. Took his heart out. Beat him what,,,, being generous here, 10 motos and three or four overalls in two and half outdoor seasons? Ran him out of racing it looks to me like. Think of it this way, James NEVER, ever, TOOK an ama title from RC. Count down commencing now,,,,,

I wouldn't say he almost caught Reed again....

Reed took 3 or 4 seconds in the last turn, enjoying the moment.

JS wasnt really that close to Reed at the finish.
