I put them on dry. Clean bar and fresh grips. Then wire tie. They never move or slip. No residue no mess.

I would of thought, that more of you would've used hair spray.
Thats all I've ever used, with 3 rows of tie wire and a nickel in the end.

The wire makes you look fast.

Grip Glue on a dry and clean surface and safety wire. Place a small amount of glue around the opening of the grip. This will help ithe grip to not get stuck half way on. Most of the other methods will work, but if you fall in a moto and get a tear in the grip, {especially if there is moisture}, it can and will allow the grip to slip. Sagety wire pliers are cheap and a roll of wire should last a lifetime{until somebody borrows it and never returns it}.
If we wanted an out of the manual answer we won't have posted here. Smile
if there was an answer in the manual then why is this posted here? Smile

I think it all depends on the compound of the grips you use.

I know I used Scott grip glue on The Tag grips when I was doing Teds bike for SX , The Grips just would never set up and were not right. even with wiring them.

Switched to Clear lacquer and solved that problem.

end of story if something works for you do it until it no longer works.

Aerostart!! The stuff is like rocket fuel and evaporates quickly - never needed to use grip wire.

I use an allen wrench. Pro-grip system. Bolt em on. Best thing I ever found. Everyone should have a set in their toolbox so if they tear off a grip you just bolt one on .

Been using just good old gasoline for years. I wet a paper towel with it, swab the inside of the grip, and slide it on the bars. I don't ever remember having a grip come loose.

slosh petrol in it and put it on. goes on real easy and sticks like shit to a blanket.
another good trick i learnt today- when at the dairy buy two $1 mixes instead of one $2 mix of lollies. way more value for money.
