Nothing directly around Huntersville except private tracks.

Andrews MX is closed until March. http://www.andrewsmotorsports.com/mxtrack/

I always have fun at Daniels Ridge up in Taylorsville. http://www.danielsridgemx.com/

There are a few a little closer down South from there, but I am farther to the North. There are a few guys on here who will be able to help out more.

Haven't been here yet myself: http://www.jakegilbertson.com/images/TTRCampFlyer-1a.pdf

"Trick Tank Motocross Practice Facility To Expand

BLACKSBURG, S.C. (Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009) -- Bob Gilbertson, owner of the Trick Tank Motocross team, announced today that in an effort to up the skill level of team riders Jake Gilbertson and Justin Hopson, he's started construction of a replica Supercross track at their practice facility in Blacksburg, S.C.

The 26-acre site, located right off of Interstate 85 between exits 104 and 102, currently has four different Arenacross and Motocross practice tracks and with the addition of a much more difficult and demanding Supercross track, it will allow the riders to hone their skills and learn what it takes to compete at the highest level in the sport.

Currently the existing tracks are open daily (weather permitting) for other experienced MX riders to practice on for a small fee and with the addition of the Supercross track, Gilbertson is expecting many more riders to take advantage of the opportunity to gain experience on the track they'll be competing on in the future.

Intermediate and Pro riders who would like to participate and practice on the tracks should call (704) 779-0191 for more information and scheduling.

Riders who sign up for practice sessions will also receive a coupon for $50 off of the price of a Trick Tank Airstand (patent pending).

For more information visit: www.jakegilbertson.com and www.tricktank.com"

For such a highly populated area, there really aren't many tracks anywhere near charlotte. None of the tracks that were mentioned are all that close to charlotte aside from Mikes ...

metrolina had one of the longest whoop sections ive ever ridden, and i loved it. won my first race there.

center road is great, mikes is better but like stated isnt open until the first weekend in march. also, you might want to try flight school. its in huntersville. its a semi-private track. its open to the general public, but they dont do any advertising. havent been there in a while so i cant comment on conditions.

I think the other posters are referring to the old national track at Metrolina.

However it is nice to know that there are good memories of the track we ran in the old car track for a couple of years.
