Who does big bore up grades on 250F Honda's?

Looking for a friend, and would like pros/cons etc... Also, what else has to be done to complete the conversion? Eg: pipe? Carb?

Athena? LA Sleeve? Anyone have experence with them??

Thanks!

I do them for non-displacement classes... so if he's a Vet rider, or running open class, give me a call. Jesse 414-467-6199

DrMarkr has a 302 kit from Athena I believe and several people from this board rode it at the Phoenix ride day, I never got a chance but maybe someone can give you their thoughts.

I personally would recommend http://www.ericgorr.com does great work and unlike many companies isn't afraid to ship to Canada. I'm heading down to see him mid march if your buddy wants something delivered or picked up.

Is that the same Eric Gorr that used to build super fast 2 stroke motors back in the day ?

My bike is an RPM (Maxpower now) built bike. However.....it was massaged in a HUGE way by Yves Edge Performance last fall.

Really depends on how far you want to push the envelope, and whether it's something you're going to do yourself or with help.

Jesse would do a great job for you. Tony (Yves Edge) can do the same. Rick Peterson, I think has stepped out of RPM when he sold to Maxpower, so you'd have to check on that.

What I can tell you is my 304 has 15 more hp than a stock 250 at 9000rpm....at the rear wheel, on a for real dyno. It really is a mini 450, and a blast to ride.

I'm not into big bore kits, but I can say I won't send any part of my motor to anyone but Jesse@Williamsmotowerx ever again. Great work coupled with great service is something that is very hard to find in this industry...

Agreed. I've been more than happy with the work he's done for me.

I've heard good things about Williams, but have not personally used his services.

A buddy of mine has a crank works stroker, paired with a cylinder works Big bore, with a CP piston thrown in instead of the weisco that comes with the kit.

I second (or 3rd or 4th) the motion for Williamsmotowerx. Jesse does great work for sure. I told him what I wanted and he delivered that and more. I can't describe how much I love the bike he did for me.

had an athena 290 on my kawi and hated it.....took away all the revs and spread of power........think you really need to have some motor work done to match everything so it runs right

This is who I'd choose.
Did some work on a 2 stroke mini a few years back, I cannot remember if it was bored or not. Sure ran good.

Ive got a basket case 250f right now, not sure what I'm gonna do with it. hint hint. Jesse? do you have a complete engine? Judging by the size of the particulates in the screen I may need (want) a complete engine. 05 by the way (if it matters) on edit: its a honda ( I guess that part does matter)
