Hey guys, I put a Yosh spark arestor insert screen in my muffler to ride a track that requires one and now I'm having a hard time pulling the whole thing out. There's only the little screw hole to grab on. Any advice?

Had the same problem with the yosh....cant remember exactly what I did to get it out but it was an unbelievable pain. Maybe try to pull and rotate it at the same time.

There's nothing to grab is the problem. I wonder if I can remove the muffler and push it out from the other side?

Any kind of reverse pliers that could work to grab it from the inside?

I had to remove a yosh insert before, I put wd40 on the end , let it soak for a few minutes. Then I used rubber ended pliers, turned them around and expanded them and turned the liers in circles til it broke free. Also put a rag over rear brake area, keep wd40 off the.parts. Hope this helps. What kind of pliers did you use to turn around? Just normal ones?

Yes,. And with the rubber handles. Pushed them in as far as they would go,til it stopped , got tight. Twisted a few times and it came loose. I didn't wanna grip the outside, didn't wanna damage the cf tip. Spring puller wdnt work,it was real tight.

You may want to try an inside bearing puller, slide hammer type. If only one jaw will catch the end on the pipe, down where it ends into the screen, it should pop it out. A pilot bearing puller may also work. Either of these can most of the time be picked up at an auto parts store that has a tool loaner plan at no cost, but just for a deposit.

To remove mine on a RMZ I used a slide hammer with a little hook attachment. It would only come out little by little but I got it out without any damage or marks to the silencer.

Hey guys, all good ideas. After my Moto's today, while the exhaust was still hot, I tried the spring puller hook with a hammer and it came out pretty easy!

I think in the future the slide hammer with the hook is the best technique.

Thanks everyone for your advice.

I took mine and polished the outside of the ring so it didn't have such a tight fit. Now I can remove it with a hook
