Pumped on the bike but first race day was one to forget . Let's just say i have braces on the way. Here is a pic before a nice gold chain and red twin ring was installed And i have a renthal fat bar odi lock on grips, in white/black and moto seat cover on now.
I have a question for others runing a 50 tooth? I run into clearance problems with lower chain guide , there's not much to them and the sproket is to close causing to much drag. I recomend making sure you run wheel stock postion or more back. Anyone find this?

How many of you are getting the electric start installed? If so what is the going rate at the dealerships for the full install (battery, labor and parts)? Is Honda doing anything in the US for those who purchased the bikes new from dealerships?

I was quoted the following for a full install

Battery $98
Wiring harness $154
Starter and installation $1019
Total. $ 1,271.00 Cdn dollars not including taxes so 13%

I am old and gimpy, but even I have a hard time justifying that cost

A Yoshimura exhaust is over $2,000 when tax is included up here as well.

I put my wheels from my 15 on it with some new Star Cross 5s. I'm not sold on them yet but the track conditions were weird this weekend. I also changed the fork guards out for white ones. Once Don has the black exhaust ready I'll be adding that and a Rekluse Torqdrive since I loved it so much on my 15. I still can't get over how good this bike is. ES ended up being worth it as well even though my wallet was murdered.

Damn everyone wants exhaust system $$$$ and I found just changing the rear sprocket to a 50 tooth gave me what I wanted.

The E-Start is well worth it I think. Yes, it is pricey. But I would do the E-Start before the exhaust any day. Bike has enough power as it is.

Yes the RX weighs a little more than the R and more than a SXF but you dont feel the weight while riding it so no worries!

I blew your pic up so it looks about halfway but is that still a stock chain? I fitted a rk mxu
But with the 50 in not happy with how much drag I now have . So it's either a tm design works lower guide or returning back to the 49

No it's been fine. After the First race it stretch it to give it a little more room.

The stock chain guides ware fast in mud /wet sand and The lower ones catch the chain rather than slide like you get with a tm design works one . They are noisey thou. Is that still your stock chain thou?

Yea. But the plan is to upgrade to a TM one very soon and switch over to a steel tooth Renthal rear sprocket

Sweet. Tm have a new one called mx gp ,They claim a year racing you should get with it . Thats solid , pricy but worth it if they hold up that well.

http://jjwdesigns.bigcartel.com/ these guys have clear rubberized grip tape you can use. I just put their frame grip tape on and it's good quality stuff. It's rubberized so it doesn't tear up boots or pants and holds up pretty well.

It is when its had a groom. We had a round of the nz champs there in March and it's the worst I've seen it at present. They have been asked if they can tidy it up so I will when I'm back there soon.

I just built my first set of wheels, it's actually pretty easy, just a bit time consuming and tedious. I went with DID rims, tusk hubs and used the oem spokes.

I like the more low key graphics black? You stick with a 49 tooth to ? I guess your tracks are faster more flowing?
