that should clear up the "who is the fastest" of the two top riders...but reed still is 1 up on indoor championships...what about outdoor titles and lites titles, or does that count?

Actually Speed got it wrong. RC beat Stewart in 06 at Vancouver. Stewart was pretty beat up from his Toronto fuck up but non the less he did get beat by RC straight up and did not crash at any point of the race.

As far as SX titles Stewart has 2 in my mind. The AMA screwed him when they gave RC his 25 points back when his team got caught with bad fuel. RC said fuck you and the AMA buckled.

Reed said himself that he considered Stewart the 06 SX champ not RC.

Actually, you are not correct. Stewart did go down in that race.

Still, not crashing 30 times and crashing 16 times isn't necessarily a good thing. If he's figured out how not to crash for an entire season he should win easily. We'll have to wait and see how things go.

You know what they say, some guys start racing at 90% of their max speed and build speed until they get to 100%. Others start at 110% and crash their way down to 100%.

RC and JS have been riding the same venues, in the same country, with the same promotors, with the same people around him since they first threw a leg over a minibike. They have the industry and the country behind them every moment of their career.


For every non-American rider to make it to the US series, there are thousands of American riders who dont cut the mustard. Considering the sheer number of riders in the US compared to Australia NZ and Europe, the ones who make the trek to a foreign land (America) and succeed should be given utmost respect.

They have a choice to do the GP's or have a stab at superstardom in the US Sx series OR stay home and dominate and set records, so no it isnt obvious the best want to go to the USA.

The point is, they are up against much higher odds than your domestic riders, but still these idiot boards pile on with the personal crap. We've had top riders from around the world race down here and they werent as dominant as you might expect, in fact often they got their asses handed to them.

Nope, they go there in an attempt to make a buck from their chosen sporting talent, if they feel they have a chance and get the opportunity! If they are good at SX they try the US, if they prefer outdoors they try GP's... OR they stay home and become a national hero...or they take up a real career and I dont mean flipping burgers.
