McLaren has admitted its relationship with engine supplier Honda is under the “maximum” strain following its troubled start to 2017.

I hope McLaren can get it together, the sport is better with McLaren up front.
Still pulling for the Silver Arrows though!!!!

Bottas's new benchmark lap time is more than half a second faster than the best ever pole lap - set in 2010 by Mark Webber - around the current Barcelona layout, and nearly three seconds faster than Hamilton's pole time last year.

Seems its Ferrari who is holding its cards close to its chest by not opting to run the ultra or supersoft tire, just sticking to the softs. Curious what they could do on the ultra.

Vettel finally bolted on some ultra soft tires and turns the fastest lap of testing....and slowed down in the last sector.

"Another fastest lap from Vettel where he backs off slightly out of the final corner.

Down to a 1’19 flat now on ultra softs."

So Scottie, is the changes they made for this season supposed to make the racing better, or does it make the mercs even better?

No doubt that Merc are holding back a little along with Ferrari. I would assume that both of them will be a second faster when they come back this year for the Spanish GP. FIM are hoping that the lack of down force on the rear will clean up the dirty air. I`m skeptical about how this will make for tighter racing, with the increase in tyre size they`ll be pushing the limits on the physical side for the drivers. I only see them doing this to make qualifying more interesting, the same 2-3 manufacturers will be at the top of the finishing order like every other year.

"Sebastian Vettel set the quickest time of pre-season testing on the penultimate day of action but Ferrari were deliberately masking their true pace.

Despite producing the fastest time of testing so far on a 1’19.024 on ultra soft tyres, Vettel deliberately backed off out of the final corner on multiple laps to conceal Ferrari’s full potential."

The racing is gonna be worse IMO. More aero = less passing. But lets wait and see....

That's kind of what I understood too. The only way for any other team to catch up is if they stopped changing rules and car design every year. The way it is now is that Mercs and Ferrari have so much money, they are light years ahead in development. I'm sure Hamilton it's going to set some win records this year...

Force India turns pink with new sponsorship deal

Force India has revealed a bright new pink livery after signing a new deal with Austrian water technology firm Best Water Technology.

The VJM10 will sport a matte pink finish from the first race of the 2017 instead of the silver colour scheme it was launched in. The team also confirmed their drivers will switch to using pink crash helmets.

“The arrival of BWT in Formula One is huge news and represents one of the most significant partnerships in our ten year history,” said team co-owner Vijay Mallya.

“It’s a sign of how far we have come as a team with our strong results and completes a solid commercial performance over the winter.”

“For 2017 our cars will sport a vibrant new colour scheme with a smart matte finish. Changing the colour of our cars is an indication of the strength of this new partnership and a real statement of intent from BWT as they begin their relationship with the sport of Formula One.”

Mine as well try and pick up Hubba Bubba or Pepto Bismol while they're at it.

Pros = Definitely stands out and will get attention.

Cons = Ugliest car on the grid.

The fact that Still Game is available in the States blew me away! Lots of great Scottish stuff doesn't even make a dent in England so to get Americans laughing is really something. Just one thing, does it have sub-titles there? or are you just good at accents? - Glasgow's is a hellova strong! And yes, Navid's a star....
