Leatt c frame review

I bought these braces last summer when I made a trip down south, local shop down there talked me out of purchasing a set of my normal asterisk. Initial the braces felt different to me, but after a few days of riding with them I started to really like them, and I had more feeling than I did with the asterisk braces.
I noticed the braces started to fall apart on me rather quickly tho compared to my asterisks, first the cable on the right leg snapped, and then two weeks ago the left brace came off in two pieces! And there is a crack in the same place on the right brace, I called leatt and emailed them and they said that I needed proof of purchase. I don't know anyone that hold onto an receipt after 7 months. Initially I liked these braces but after spending over $400 on them it'd of been nice if they could of lasted at least a year. As of know it's Back to my trusty 4 year old asterisks.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine are 2 years old and look brand new, i broke the knee cup off when i was rushing to get ready one day. I took pictures and emailed Leatt and they called me the next day and shipped one to me no charge no questions asked.

Some how you had a completely different customer service experience... i am also a little surprised by the condition of your braces did you wreck in them to cause that damage???

I suppose if you abuse anything it will break early... those look like they were ran through a cement truck, paved onto a driveway, torn up later, and thrown into a blender.

Lol I don't see how you can abuse knee braces, you wear them, take them off and clean them when they get dirty or smell Please post some how to tips for me sometime id be interested to see how you grease, and change all the bearing in your braces, maybe you even change the oil in them. And no not really, any bad crashes, I mean I have obviously crashed but never hard enough that I'd think would break them, and to my understanding leatt has made break away points to decrease the chances of a broken femur, but I don't think my braces are breaking in that area.

And that's great yours are still holding up! I did really like the braces!

it took them awhile to get back to me to, but they did eventually just be patient they must be busy

From my understanding they should give out horizontally across your tib/fib and horizontally across the femur. I couldn't imagine knee brace being designed to break laterally (like they did)
