2001 RM125 build - Pastrana Replica

12/28/2016 9:47am
I have a few little pieces I am still looking for to finish off the bike. Maybe someone will have them:

- I have been sent the wrong brake hanger twice on Ebay. If anyone has a 2001 RM125 brake hanger to work with a 280mm rotor let me know

- I am looking for the correct RG3/Showa fork and shock stickers. The ones I currently have are carbon background and I would like them to be clear background. I contacted RG3 a couple times and have been waiting on a call back to get some ordered but never got the call. I figured I would see if anyone on here may have some before I try them back again.

Schuster187 - Where did you get your drilled washers? Particularly the ones used for the fork guard bolts?

Stunning build! What else can I say that hasn't already been said, simply awesome.

If you are still after an RG3 clamp setup, this is a cheap start. Top clamp + 1 1/8" bar mounts for $50 in Ottawa.

Thanks for the info, the link doesn't take me to the clamps, send me an email - derek@hondamx.ca

The washers are made by Bolt http://boltmotorcyclehardware.com

I had them anodized to match the other anodized pieces on the bike

Thanks to Jolene VanVugt I recently had Travis sign the front plate.

This build wins. It makes my 03 SoBe bike look like a poodle. On the brake hanger, that's easy. Suzuki/Honda/Kawasaki all used the same hanger. In 04 Honda went to a narrower bolt spacing (likely to save weight). Just get a 95-03 CR/CRF 280mm hanger, MotoStuff.com has them, or get any Kawie 2t one. BTW, Yamaha has the same hub bolt pattern, so the rotors interchange. I have a YZ front rotor and a pre 04 CR spacer on mine.

Do you have a build thread for that beauty?

Yes. It's old but I add to it from time to time. It should be under 2004 RM250 or SoBe.

Such a nice build man! Looking at the fork lugs, they don't appear to be stock 01 lugs. Are those billet lugs that you had hard anodized or is the suspension from a different bike? I also have a guy who imports carbon fiber ignition covers from italy for rm125/250's. (https://www.instagram.com/p/BFCHUT9vMWz/?taken-by=froscycles)

I asked for some clutch covers as well, but I think his supplier needs a larger order. At $100 a piece I'd imagine we could get enough people on here to place a large order.

That thing is beautiful. I'm working on a Pastrana replica of a different variety.
