I was texting with him last night for quite a while, trying to help him figure it out. I figured it was either the pilot bearing, or after he told me about another issue, a bearing in the transmission. Either way, once a shop gets him in, it's down a couple of days, and he's taking one for the team on the bill. A 22 year old truck, it's never just one thing wrong under there, there's always more. What kind of symptoms would make you think a pilot bearing or trans bearing issue?
