I know this will be weird to read a post that is not about Bubba or Dungey retiring, but Brett Smith wrote a great article in Racer X on King Kelley. Worth checking out and I wish we had a video of the Six Flag races. What a cool idea to host a race that also allows people to enjoy the amusement park. Kevin Kelly-if you see this post, you should do a segment on DMXS going into details of some of the stories about your father. Thanks for the article Brett!

I agree, that was a great read, I thought how cool it must have been when he took his son's to the dealership and told them to pick out whatever they wanted. I remember Billy Liles also......from eating his roost in Tullahoma, TN. that dude was fast.

I agree, I can't imagine my father opening the doors to a dealership and giving permission to pick any bike.

Good tribute. King Kelly was on of those 'Motocross people" that are just the best folks and you never forget. Sure had some great times at Bremen MX and SEVMX over quite a few years. He lived a motocross life for sure.
