So now that I have the new bike I'm looking for companies that actually have filters and what not for the bike. I don't want to fork out the cash for stock stuff and who knows if those are even in stock yet. But I like to have extra air filters, oil filters, and other parts of that nature so I don't have to continue to wash the same one and stay on top of oil changes. So my questions is does anyone know of any companies that have anything out yet for the bikes? Thanks!

Twin Air does the factory team's air filters, so I'd imagine they'll be first.

60 bucks for the Honda one that is back ordered.

Gonna be really tough getting anything for that bike for a while to come.

Possibly a dumb question but could you not use an oil filter from a 16? If I'm not mistaken it's been the same filter for awhile now, did they change it for 17? Or am I way off?

Yeah an oil filter is a must. Hopefully someone more in the know can say if a 16 will work on the 17. Cleaning one air filter is tedious but I can manage until aftermarket ones come out.

A lot of the basic stuff carries over like: oil filter, brake pads, front brake lever, etc. Parts Unlimited has the twin air filters in stock in the North Carolina warehouse.

Ok did some research and found the oem 17 parts list and the 17 oil filter and 16 oil filter have the same part number

I spent some time this morning gathering some info. Talked to Motion Pro and they confirmed that the throttle tube is unchanged on the 2017 from the 2016 model. Twin Air has the air filters out. The std is on BO through most distributors (PN 150224) but the Pre-Oiled filter is available (PN 150224X). Also talked to Works Connection and their 2017 Pro launch (PN 12-227) will be out next week. FMF told me the 4.1 RCTs will be out at the end of the month. Yosh RS-9s have been in stock for a min now.

Good work!! The works prolaunch might be my Christmas present to myself. Has anyone given any thought to removing the filter screen in these bikes?

Have you looked at the stock cage? There just a couple tabs holding the screen in. Is there a major difference between just removing this and using the power flow kit?

I wouldn't say it's a major difference, but it is a cleaner setup and the air filter that comes with the powerflow kit has an inner flame resistant coating. Also they say they tune them for better performance. On an otherwise stock bike, I never really saw the advantage to removing the screen. It actually is a extra peace of mind to keep anything unwanted out of the air tract. If you have a full exhaust and programmer it is definitely a benefit to get everything out of the bike.

If you hate to change filters on riding day: Funnelweb Filters. They cost a bit more but you don't need extra bits to protect against mud/soft sand/... You can ride them two/three days without changing. The pattern is created for Dakar/Baja races where filters like DT1 and TwinAir start losing HP after 30/45 minutes they're sucking them self full of dirt. Off course MX riders don't ride that long but because we can keep them in the bike, we can also keep the bike clean on the inside, that means less wear on the bike and ...

I run the Funnelweb filter in my KTM's.
Good fit and stay cleaner on long rides.
Made in Australia, in Newcastle I think.

Im going into the engine tomorow measuring every thing graphing the cam and getting the specs for WEB camshafts.I will also be working on valve train components pressing the crank apart and measuring the con rod and hoping honda kept some the dimensions the same.T.his wont mean much to mx ers but theses things are going to be killer on the mile flat tracks.
