That screw in the lower frame, under and to the left of the timing covers....what is that? I've got this bike in pieces and this screw has a copper washer on it, so is this yet another drain for the oil in the frame? The manual isn't doing a good job at clarifying this for me. Hopefully someone can set me straight.

Not a drain plug. That is a mounting point for an ignition cover guard.

My buddy had an old school 1998 yzf 400. Oil ran through the frame on that bike. Was really weird

Thanks, that is good to know. I'm having a frame powdercoated and that bolt threw me for a loop!

The drain is on the front of the frame.

Gotcha. Yeah, that bolt was odd in that it had a crush washer, as if it were sealing a fluid.

Speaking of the oiling system, does anyone have a diagram that might show the path that oil travels through the frame and motor?
