Another little update on the 52!

Gave it the first wash in...decades haha

Was finally able to see what the little emblem was on the valve cover. Clipper sounds cool, time to research

Does nabbing a pair of 79 Yamaha RD400 Daytona Specials count as non-moto projects? One is a candidate for a restore and the other may be my café racer I have always thought about. It came with a DG Street Performance alloy swing arm and caliper stay along with a pair of Fox Shocks. The nicer one may be coming with me to Rio next weekend with a For Sale sign on it.

Probably bit off more than I can chew with this one....1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite. Found in a 92 year old guys barn. Has a later model engine installed with lots of engine upgrades, head work, aluminum intake, Weber carb, header, fiberglass tilt-forward front end etc. Got it running, needs wiring, front brakes, interior stuff etc.
Got it running nice with a $7 carb rebuild kit off of ebay. Haven't decided if I want to sell it or dig in this winter to make it a driver......

Oh man those are cool, showed my dad the bikes because he likes that model. He said he has two sets of gold anodized DG radial heads, set of DG pipes, set of Toomey pipes from back in the day. He used to race modified midgets and would convert the RD350 into TZ250 (had TZ250 crank, cylinder, head, and mount TZ water pump where the oil pump went). So he tells me he has a bunch of old RD350s laying around

I'd keep it! Those are rare in the states, how long did it sit?

Ive been playing with one of my old cruiser frames. Turning from a 2005, 3/8 rear drop out with a standard 1-1/8 headtube to a 20mm dropout and 1-1/8 to 1-1/2 head tube with rear disc brake.

It had to have been sitting for the last 15-20 years at least. Someone spent the money and time to replace the floors and spring pockets, but did a half-assed job of welding them in. Just like getting an old dirt bike that the kicker has been welded onto the shaft, hack "mechanics" can literally make things worse.

Put the 52 on jacks and tore into the brakes, they were froze shut on the fronts but once opened up they didn't look too bad pads still look good, some brake lines were bad but overall still looking sharp, the steering arm was bent but we managed to straighten it later. Still starts up and runs good
